    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Oh I do Kevin. I thought that was common knowledge already. :)

I think in most cases it certainly is an across the board agreement. TSE, MG Reptiles, CRE, etc.

And then there will be some that for whatever reasons people are split on. There is no arguing that. All people can do in these cases is give their opinions and then let the chips fall where they may.

There is certainly room for doubt. Going both directions. How much she knew or did not know is something we will never know. It is most certainly up to each one of us individually to make our assumptions on that matter.

Sammy, IMO, John chose to make this a personal attack against a moderator, he would have drawn the same points if his actions were against any moderator without just cause. At no point did I or any other mod on this thread attack him. He is asking for even more now with comments like:

John, apology accepted :thumbsup: . I just did not see the reason to make it a personal attack. I am not taking sides and I even stated earlier in this thread that I do not always agree with Ed. Most people here will tell you, I am a more than fair guy.

That said, does someone have a link to the Rankin dragons that was mentioned earlier on this thread about Jean Best? I would like to see this thread, if she has been scamming than this will make a big difference on this topic.

That's BS Bobby. He attacked you and your opinion as a member participating in this thread. He never attacked you over any decision you made as a moderator, you were never in this thread as a moderator.

Guess I was wrong about you being better than that.

Wow, is all I can say. I honestly don't know why I am typing this as it has been said many times before.

Ed can darn well buy and sell from whomever he wants. That point has been established and accepted.

However, for Ed or anyone for that matter, to believe that sending money to people of ill-repute could in any way help their own reputation is very short sighted. Ed is already looked at closely by quite a few of us here and a transaction like this certainly won't help.

But, Ed's a grown adult, and far be it from me to tell him what to do. I, personally speaking, would never send my money to someone that had questionable character. If Ed sends her money it does not mean that Ed's animals are bad. From what I have heard first hand, Ed's animals are quite nice and worth the money. I commend him for that however, I would prefer to see Ed spend his hard earned money with people who deserve the respect that such a transaction involves.

Support the good guys Ed and they will support you. It's a very simple concept. It's really not worth the risk Ed.

After reading a few theads, I must agree, It is very hard to see Jim's point that she knew nothing about Wendy's actions.

Jeane Best still has the website going and is still selling Rankin's. I will also add, it was not Jeane that was breeding and selling the cresties. Wendy Child was the one that was breeding, selling and trading cresties. I might also add, she was using these to scam before her trip to prison.

Does everyone remember the girl that was taking over Wendy's business when she was sent off (Cresties)? I would bet, these animals are Wendy's and not Jeane's, therefore, it would be supporting questionable people as/ has been stated before. If this is the case and wendy is collecting funds on these animals, then it would be supporting a known scammer.

Can anyone here that? I could swear I just heard a women asking her mother to send more cash, cigs and panties to her prison. This is not based on fact, just my opinion.

I started this thread to get more information on Jeane Best, I recieved messages that she had done good business with numerous people that also said they would buy from her again. :)

I now know that the cresties are Wendys and have chosen not to go through with the purchase because of that. :eek:

Wes, I just dont understand someone like you so eager to label someone a bad guy(Me) for no reason other than YOU dont want me to buy from Jeane Best. I was looking for information here and you chose to attack me for that. :shrug01:

Numerous times in these forums, on the BOI, in the animal specific forums and in the general business discussion sections, a common theme has come up when the question arises about how to control, contain and ultimately end a person or business with negative practices.

The answer, with slight deviations in wording, has always been internal financial control. A good bulk of reptile sales are made to people who already own reptiles; people who are aware of what constitutes a good quality animal and an honest and reputable dealer. To close down the bad guys, bad practices need to be made a financial dead end. Giving money to the good guys and keeping it out of the hands of the scammers is the best way to make positive practices the only logical option for someone looking to make money.

Yeah Ed, it's your money that you're risking. But it's everyone's industry that you're helping pollute just a little bit by giving money to someone with such negative practices. Every animal she's able to sell is a little longer that she keeps trying. She definitely IS a bad guy too- her daughter may have been the one who has the criminal convictions and was responding on the BOI the most blatantly, but they were posting under the same Reptibid/reptileauctions account name and using identical payment methods. They're both very very dirty, very very bad people and when someone chooses to not only support them but to do it openly and with pride... Are you surprised that some people have questioned your behavior and choices?

Hey! Here's something that should leave Ed nice and conflicted- remember how he was so quick to jump into those old MKR threads to rip on MKR, MKR's animals, Reptileauctions, Joe and Wes and cry about how he couldn't sell his ball pythons anymore? Remember how Joe Capone started claiming he owned Reptileauctions and was calling certain shots above the head of the administrator because he had invested heavily in advertising? Remember how about a week after that, the Spokanelizardlady account was reinstated despite the way that many long time reptileauctions users withdrew their membership and, in at least one case, a banner ad and forum sponsership? Anyone else really think those events were unconnected?
