    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi Ben,

I don't know if you are looking to buy or sell, but I held a (now sold) Ball Python for Kelly Lanier and they later backed out, stating to me via e-mail that they had been in a bad car accident and needed to keep the funds because of it, which was absolutely fine and I sympathized with their situation.

What I did not like was finding out shortly after was that they needed the money for another animal they wanted to buy, as stated in their own classified ad posted right *after* the supposed car accident.

I really do not mind buyers backing out.. heaven knows I have had to do it a few times for various reasons, but I do mind being lied to, especially when I turned multiple buyers down for the same animal because it was on hold for Kelly. All in all, it was not a huge deal, but following that experience, I seriously rethought my policy of holding animals without payment because of buyers like Kelly Lanier.

Luckily, the individual that did end up buying the Ball Python at a later date was absolutely wonderful to deal with and I couldn't have been happier that the little BP was going to such a good home.

Please Read

I did have a wreck and did need $500 for the insurance deductable. The ad that she saw was on reptibid. When you put an ad on reptibid it ask you how many time to RELIST the ad if it doesn't sell. Thats what happened..I listed THAT ad a week prior to contacting her about her snake. Yes, I was going to buy, BUT I did have to back out to pay my deductable. The next day the AD on reptibid RELISTED automatically. When I ORIGINALLY posted the ad..Yes..I was looking for money to get another snake..That was before my Wreck. Thank You....Kelly Lanier
 
That's fine.. I guessed that something along these lines would be posted for defense. It should also be noted, however, that I am not the only unhappy seller when it comes to Kelly Lanier. According to his feedback on Reptibid, he has done this very same thing before under the username BloodsandBalls. Their most recent "good" feedback was left by Lynnwood707 if you do a search.

With that said, I am not going to go back and forth on this. I do not feel that my experience with Kelly Lanier was a good one and would not do business with this person again.

good feedback

I bought a few snakes about a year ago from Kelly Lanier. She was very helpful during the whole process and even made many follow up emails to see how they were doing. After reading about so many people getting burned, I was tentative at first because I had never heard of the Laniers. However, they gave me a great deal, very healthy snakes, good packaging, on time delivery, and everything went according to how they said it would. If I had more money and the Lanier's had more snakes that I wanted, I would definitely do business with them again.

Not sure why they are getting below average feedback but thought I'd add my experiences for anyone who might be interested.
