    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anyone know him?
I thought we had a deal worked out but now who knows.
I contacted him about some animals and we worked out a deal until it came to the shipping and payment.
I did not want to pay $50 and get refunded the difference of that amount from the actual cost later to ship some '04 childrens pythons and asked him to instead bill my account. He did not know how to do that and asked if I could prepay with a CC against my account for the shipping. Can you even do that?
I also asked what his paypal addy was so I could send payment. He does not have paypal and wanted to get payment another way if possible.
This is just striking me as a bit odd.
Very expensive shipping charge and doesn't take paypal.
Should I walk away or try and continue with this deal?
Anyone who has dealt with him before, please post your experiences. Thanks.

This is the ad he had on KS.
You would think with the amount of animals he has listed, he would have paypal or be able to bill other peoples shipping accounts.

I don't know maybe I'm still a bit leary about sending money after the headache I had with Jemery Bednarsh and Neodesha.

I did not get ripped off by him, never had the chance. He jacked me around for a week on some Sand Boas. Same deal with shipping too but I was going to go through with the deal until he emailed me that he sold them to someone else after I had told him a week ago I wanted them. The only reason I had not bought them already is because he was Hymn hawing around. I would not call him a bad guy just flakey.

His last email was that paypal was down for maintenance and he would try to set up an account when it came back up.
I have heard of buyers disappearing but never sellers. :D
 
Interesting...

We are trying to work something out on a larger snake in regards to shipping. He gave me the quote from UPS which was quite expensive as expected. I offered some options like US Air Cargo or possibly use a verified shipper locally to send Delta. He said he called a buddy of his that is a verified shipper and called Delta to verify his status, he also got a quote. I have never heard of a $55 Delta Dash amount and didn't even think twice about it until I came across this post. I will post my results if something comes of it.
 
I have a pair of Mike Beaches BCI....

I don't know the guy, but I bought a pair of Bci from him at the Tacoma show in '02. They are really nice, tons of color. Like I said, I don't know him from Adam, but the boas I bought from him are outstanding.

Too wierd.
He wants a check since paypal crashed on him and now he can't access it.
Shipping is up in the air.
Oh well, he sent me his phone number. I'll give him a call but this is just turning out odd.
Maybe I'll look somewhere else for childrens pythons.:(
 
Paypal crashing on him? That does not sound very likely. Paypal is not dependant on anything on his end other than entering the correct login info. As of right now paypal is up and functioning. I just checked by logging into my account. I would be very leary of sending him a check.
 
About Micheal

Micheal is a good guy, Ive had the pleasure of knowing him for sometime now. He has a genuine intrest in the animals he is offering and isnt exactly new to the hobby. He has been doing the NW reptile shows for some time however is new to internet bussiness, and shipping. Anyhow I wouldnt worry about getting burned by him at all, he just isnt the type. Hope the deals work out for you.

Inquiry regarding Michael Beach

I purchased three female Jungle Carpet pythons from Michael a couple of months ago. Prior to the transaction we exchanged several e-mails, with Michael providing addtional photographs of the animals and polite answers to all my questions.

The animals he sent me were exactly as advertised, and in perfect condition. Since the transaction, we have e-mailed each other on a number of subjects and will likely stay in touch as time goes by.

I was totally satisfied with the entire transaction, and would not hesitate to do business with him again.

I know Michael Beach,& He is a good guy he is definately some one you can trust.he's the only seller that I have meet on the net that actually care's about what he is selling & who he is selling it to.I bought a c/b yellow anaconda from him a month ago & it was as described,healthy,eating,he told me the snake's history,& the snakes tempermant.& he still keep's in touch with me to make sure every thing is all good.I recomend that you buy from him he definately get's 2 thumb's up from me,& future purchase's from me.
 
I bought a Childrens and a Cape York Spotted Python from Michael two months ago. I'm very happy with both snakes and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Michael in the future. I had an opportunity to see his collection as well. He takes very good care of his animals and I found Michael to be a genuinely nice guy.

I don't know Michael at all (heard good things about him though) but I just wanted to point out that we've had all kinds of trouble with Paypal and as a result, we do not take payment in any other way than money orders. Don't think that because a seller does not have a paypal account, that they are shady in any way. I just don't trust anyone with my my transaction other than the buyer and myself.
And for the record, Paypal does have it's issues and has forzen up on us many times. Not to mention the lack of confirmation of payment resulting in overbilling issues.

Michael Beach Inquiry

I recently conducted business with Michael. It was my first internet, mail transaction. Michael took his time from the beginning sending me pictures and describing the snake and it's nature. The packaged snake, a 7' Boa arrived, alive and extremely healthy.

However shortly after sending payment I got on this site and was a little concerned after reading some posts. The posts had a good ending, but it caused alarm in a 1st timer..me!

It is my personal opinion, poster's should not jump to conclusions and post items that can instantaneously cause someone to have a bad reputation, or freak me out in my case. Although, after reading about all the rip-off artists out there, you must be very careful choosing whom to conduct business with. It all worked out and hopefully all my transactions will be like this one.

Anyway to make a short story long.....I would highly recommend
Michael Beach to anyone.

Micheal contacted me ticked off about my post.
I have bought and sold many animals online and never heard of anyone asking for $50 up front for shipping and then saying they would refund the difference. That threw up a red flag so I inquired here. Also as far as paypal being down, it just added to the concerns I had.
I posted that the animals arrived and gave him a thumbs up.

I posted about the deal and asked questions. End of story.
 
Steve...I wasn't tryng to attack you in anyway. In fact I appreciate you taking the time and posting the end results and giving Michael the thumbs up. It made me feel alot better. I was extremely skeptical being a first timer and if it wasn't for the posts I believe alot more people would be getting ripped-off.

I use the BOI to get info on all purchases before I buy unless I know of the person. I had never heard of Michael before and with all of the scams that take place, I was very cautious.
I ended up talking to him on the phone and went ahead with the purchase.

I have no complaints with him or his animals.

I didn't mean to come off harsh but I was asked to delete my previous posts and IMO they are a part of what happened and should stay (not too mention you cannot delete anything on the BOI).

I was concerned at first, took a chance, and it paid off.

Micheal is a good guy.

That is what someone who reads this post should come away with.
 
No worries here.....It's pretty amazing all the rip-offs I have been reading about on here. I just got back into the herp world after 12 years. Things have definitely changed! The people sending off $2k for Hets with little or no proof from people that sound nice boggles my mind.

After sending off my cash to someone I just met over the phone, was a little scary (I was hoping for the best). I was extremely happy that I kept reading the posts. So I guess I am guilty of the same. I plan on purchasing in the near future and I am definitely going to do some research before sending my hard earned dough!!!
