In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

 Your looking to do what???!!!

I would search the BOI for his name. Also, it wouldnt hurt to call the Better Business Bureau and ask them.

funny i have purchased a pair of dwarf retics that were exactly as stated and were in very good shape and excellent packaging. i have no problem buying from terry again. i am surprised at the neg threads IMO

The guy has had less than a golden reputation since the day I first ran into him at a herp meeting over 20 years ago. Always been very questionable where acquires some of his animals as his CITES permits seem to be called into question frequently as to their authenticity as well as the animals on the permit matching the animals for sale.

It appears to continue to this day.

I would stay far away or at least do A LOT of homework before sending him any money.

I have met dozens of people that Terry has done a number on. There are a couple people that I mentioned in other threads that he has owed animals to that were paid for, for years now that he was happy to sell but not to ship. He sells other people's goods using other people's pictures and then keeps the money.

For those who remember the previous threads on terry, he was selling his business. I guess the prospective buyer must have waken up and figured out how bad a name it would be to have.

i bought 3 snakes from him that where supposed to be about 950 grams and when they arrived they where not as big as they were supposed to be the biggest being 850 grams. i wasnt happy and he sent someone my way who wanted the snakes i wasnt happy with and i got my money back and kept one of the snakes i liked. i would buy from him again. just make sure you get pics of the snakes getting weighed and you shouldnt have a problem with him. he was very nice.

a few years back i did a trade with him, all my animals were personal pets, and I wanted to trade a few animals for a green tree python. Well it got here, and it was about the size of a 6-8 month gtp, and it was already green! It didnt eat for several months, i had to assist feed it. Now its back to health and eating finally, but someone shouldnt have to go through that, especially when all the animals I sent to him were in top knotch quality! It was also from some really supposed high yellow animals, and it doesnt have any high yellow, ohh well, i wonder if those pics he showed me were even his animals. Does anyone have a gtp that they got from him? Hows it doing?

Thanks

enough said i will stay clear of him

thanks for the info everyone.i think ill give my business to the guys at goldenserpent.

Well I took a chance On Terry Lilley this past October '08 . He had a Boa that I wanted and spent months trying to even find. I told him that it had to be a Female as he advertised. I did not want or have use for a male of this morph.
It was shipped to me as well as it could be (no problems). But I soon realized that it was in fact a male - double, triple checked. I do the "rub" palpatation technique, and felt the hemipenes each time. I'd bet my entire collection that is was a male. I emailed him the same day that I received him. He assured me that it probed out as a female , but he would return my money once he got the Boa back. However, he was leaving on vacation until the following month so I had to wait - this made me nervous that I was getting "taken". I emailed him in mid November when he said that he'd be back, and the following week I shipped him the Boa back. Within about 10 days, I received $400 (about half of the purchase price) . He said that I'd get the rest soon. Each week I'd email him , asking about the final return payment, and there was always something that kept him from sending it. Well yesterday ( February 6, 09) I finally got the final return. So I am suprised, and happy in the end.
IMO, I would've had nothing negative to say in all of this, but the continuous delay in returning my payment was way too long for it to be acceptable, and I spent alot of time being frustrated. I sent 14 emails asking "when?" . That was the only negative thing for me, but like the comercial says "It's my money, and I want it now! "
BTW, he still felt that it was a female, and sold it again as such. Other than that, thing were fine. IMO, when someone sends a payment , it shouldn't be spent until the customer is satisfied.
