In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry: Ramond Harrison

Hi Guys

I just got an account on fauna yesterday, then I saw this post and I guess the reason for having a Fauna account is to post my feelings about certain people. Well I was very surprised when I saw this because I didn’t know if he was still around, well anyway I use to live in North Carolina and I lived next door to Raymond Harrison and his wife Sarah Harrison, I would watch him come outside with very large snakes around his neck and snakes around his wrist. At the time I didn’t know much about snakes so I went outside in June 2001 and handled one of his very large yellow snakes which I soon learned it was called a Burmese Python. After that experience I realized I was missing something, I only owned a Cat and a Golden Retriever at the time and when I was a child I only owned a dog and when he died I never had another pet. From that date on I would learn something new about snake’s everyday that was my number one goal so that I would have enough experience and knowledge to own one myself one day. The next day Raymond was outside playing with one of his large snakes and I told him that I would love to own a snake one day and if he could teach me about them, so he invited me into his house and he had two rooms one had a sign on the door and it said “Quarantine Room Only” and the other door said “Reptile Room.” We went into the one that said “Reptile Room” I saw beautiful wood cages on the walls and snakes in them. Then inside this one room on the wall this large cage was away from all the others I looked inside and it had a tag on the front of it said “Albino Ball Python” It was the prettiest snake out of all of them, I asked him what he was going to do with him Sell him or what but he just said “no” I just bred him to a Regular female ball python and he pointed over to a cage with a couple baby snakes. I asked him why they look so different and not as pretty as the Albino, he said “because they are hets” I had no idea what a het was at the time so he sat me down and we had a long Genetic conversation I probably to this day still not good at genetics and if he had a Ruler for every time I messed up with it he would of hit me but instead he was very patient. He knew how interested I was in them so every day he would let me take care of his ball pythons and feed and give water to his Albino Ball and the hets. In May I walked into his house like I normally do and was cleaning out some of the reptiles when he was out. I noticed this new cage in the back it said one male and one female Het For Albino Ball pythons “To my Friend Chris for all the help you have giving me and for the love of snakes that you share with me, now you can have your own pair and breed them out to get the Albino balls you have been wanting all along.”
From that day on I started expanding my collection and In August a family matter came up and I had to move away, we were going to stay in contact with him but we never did after the first week or so. Then I lost his numbers, email address and could no longer contact him.
If he has his ball pythons listed somewhere if someone could please tell me because I would be so happy to get back in contact with him. My hets have bred and produced albino in 2004 and I was extremely excited when I saw them coming out of there eggs since it was my first time I had a feeling inside of me that I did it with out any help but if I didn’t get that help from the beginning from Raymond I would of probably never owned a snake or a reptile in that matter.
I would strongly recommend Raymond and his wife Sarah Harrison to anyone. And if anyone can please send there contact information to me because I would be interested in purchasing some more critters soon.

Thanks for opening this inquiry,
Chris Leonardo
:)

UMMM, so in 2001 this guy gave you a pair of het albinos?

Also, all these nice snakes and he cannot post of send pics. I wonder why that is.........

Just where does he live?!?

In that auction (recently posted) it clearly states their location as being in Winston Salem NC.Which is all of 30 minutes from me.

Here is what killed it for me.

Missing printscreen...

It would'nt upload,so i linked it.

Raymond Harrison

I recently spoke with him, and he has just relocated himself to Orlando,FL I think his address is on his Reptibid ads now.
Did you ask Raymond for pictures? Did he not send you any?
He is a very busy man so maybe if you email him again, and I will email him also, I know his paperwork has pictures of the original morphs on it. And I have been to his house and I have seen all his breeders, my hets have proved out from him and I would not doubt him in anyway he is a very respected, honest and hardworking man.
I will try to get pictures of the morphs from him, to you within the next few days. Right now we are trying to get together again. Maybe he could help me with a few projects I have wanted to expand on.

Thanks,
Chris Leonardo

Too Many Red Flags

First red flag is that he is selling (supposedly) 100% het balls for well below thier market value (always a red flag for me).

This guy has supposedly been breeding high end balls for years but the only person whos heard of him is one "new guy" no one has heard of either. And quite frankly the picture this reference gives is just a little too perfect. No reputable breeders have come forth to say they've heard of him, nor have any buyers posted. How can this not be a red flag.

The first ad I responded to did not have any pictures I asked for pictures, he ran out, took pictures of the snakes, and e-mailed them to me. I asked for pictures of the parents (since he bred them) no - pictures, end of correspondence for two weeks.

The second ad I responded to same deal asked for belly shots of het pieds got them right way asked for shots of the parents - nothing, no further communication.

He mentioned in response to one ad that he was unable to e-mail people for a few days because of a power outage. He did manage somehow to repost four ads during that time that had originally been posted without photos, this time they had photos. So much for the power outage.

First ads he mentioned nothing of his wife, after it was posted here about his wife all of a sudden she is in all of his ads. What's up with that.

Now all of a sudden he's moved from NC to Florida by coincidence near his long lost "neighbor."

Just too many red flags for me to trust this guy. I think there were more, but I can't remember what they were right now. IMO I think this guy is scamming, but I'd love to be proved wrong, it's always nice to know that there are actual good guys in this business.

Anyone?????????

I'm bumping this back to the top since the guy now has a 520 gram BP 100% het pied female available on Reptibid (no pictures of course) for $960. Anyone every heard of this guy?

Wow Chris,

You just registered your account right after this post went up. You lived next to him in North Carolina and now you both live in Florida.

Ok, I buy it.

I see something strange here

You now leave in Florida too.

One letter different in the last name and the only other person to mention Harrison.

I think it was that most exuberant of showmen, the lead singer of Queen, who made famous the song, Another One Bites the Dust.

Freddy would be proud of you guys.

Very nice catch.

So next time I'm "hired" by Reptid, I'll be sure to look for Stevie boy. :uzi:

Hmmm.....

We just had an order go out yesturday to a Steve Leonard in California. I wonder if its related.......

"Ummmmm, did I say NOT!!!!"

Put me down for a "NOT" as well!

I think Elmer Fud put it best when he said: "Something scuweys goin on awound here."

A customer of mine told me they bought a 100% het female from Raymond Harrison. It was shipped without notice and without a heat pack - temps were in the teens. It was supposed to be 500 grams but ended up being 100 grams. Ice cold, they thought it was dead. They called me last night looking for a 100% het female because when they probed the "female" het from Harrison, it probed as a male. I sure am glad they didn't bet the bank and raise it up as a female.
