What Rick is taking deposits for he does not have cooking. He is selling by virtue of the guarantee of a failure. By doing so, he enables that failure even further. Rick may not have been a bad guy in the past, but the day he started accepting deposits for Joe Capone animals, that havent even yet been produced, he became an enabler to Joe and in essence a failure all his own.

The point is a deposit for something isnt as off base as you think....its just you dont like Joe. Wow this thread certainly did spin out of control since I last checked it – given the subject I am not at all surprised.

I think the reason is pretty simple there are some good natured people that want to give Rick the benefit of the doubt – at one point I did too – I learned my lesson the hard way – I’m just hoping to save some people the misery this man spreads. And believe me - I get it, after all, where the animals are concerned no one has so far been able to prove that they’ve gotten a raw deal – hard to do with the possible hets Rick has been selling for years. Even Chris Johnson had a good reputation up until a point.

Now a bunch of people that have had the misfortune of having known Rick for several years – have come forward to tell you that Rick is a scumbag. Like many here Rick weaseled his way into our circle of friends, and despite our best efforts to get rid of him – he will not go away – he’s like a venereal disease that way. Learn from our mistakes people this is what the BOI is about.

Rick is a forum troll that has been kicked off most forums – those top name breeders that we all respect will no longer put up with his game playing bull shit and have booted him – does that send up any red flags for anyone?

What about the fact that he throws people under the bus – trash talks everyone in the business including his “friends” and is a rumormonger – does that send up any red flags?

Or what about the fact that he’s been proven to be a liar - many times over in this thread alone – and to what extent he’ll go if need be - is that not a concern?

Adding in that he’s whore himself out to anyone that will take him including Joe Capone and all that that entails – well that is what it is.

And that not one person has come forward to say – yeah I’ve known Rick for years – he’s an upstanding guy that I would certainly trust anything he has to sell …. Blah blah blah? 12 years (or whatever) in the business and not one person – not even Joey.

Certainly - your money is yours to spend however you like. If the only thing that matters to you is that you get a good deal then by all means go ahead and buy from whomever you like. But if you are tired of all the lying, cheating, scumbags that are an embarrassment to this community and keep attracting more scumbags - then don’t just judge your purchase on who can give you the best deal – support those people that are truly good, honest breeders with good honest reputations.

I look forward to hearing what rumors you are going to spread about me Rick – I suppose that would just prove my point. Perhaps you can think of something original instead of stealing other peoples material.

I was not ripped off by Joe or Rick. Though I have been ripped off in a similar circumstance in which the type of business Rick and Joe are currently conducting. Its real easy to take a deposit for something that doesnt exist and promise a full refund if it cant be produced. The problem that normally stems from that is the fact that the money is not held on the side to be refunded in the instance of a problem. And then we wind up hearing stories about where the money went and the excuses when it can be refunded. Sometimes that neve happens. No restitution for the buyer.

I agree with your whole post, especially this part. I know lessons on "possible hets" as well and will not buy anything under 100% het from a VERY well known breeder. It is too hard to prove someone is bad because you have to grow the animal up and wait, totally understandable.

When this thread started I was thinking that a guy with no bad track record was getting slammed because he bought from someone people do not like. Heck, I even called him, I am not going to repeat stuff on here as it is just hearsay because we talked on the phone.

Now I do not think I would buy from him because of some of the things I have read on here AND most of his stuff is poss het ect and I do not buy them. So from this thread and what he sells I would not buy, I do not think there was any need to go as personal as this thread has, no need to. I understand and respect people much more if and when they write posts like yours or explains things in a precise, accurate manner.

Jasballs was given a three day pass to be elsewhere. He wanted to be "cute" about the warning points I gave him, so I figured he needed some time away from here. This is a administrative tool I seldom use on this site, but will use it when it seems appropriate and fitting.
