Now you may be a lot of things but at least I can say my ideals dont change with the wind, or popularity. I am neither naive or stupid. I am a believer in giving people a chance and association is not the basis for determining guilt.
Now I may be wrong...and I may be right. But I do know that when its all over and done I will live with my choice where you will just change and go with a flow of popularity.....

Uhhhh...I have a question...

Is it really that bad to change your opinion of someone? To do otherwise would be to make the ASSumption that first impressions are always accurate. I think that we can all agree that nothing could be further from the truth.

Of course, the other issue is that people can (and do) change. If a formerly good guy turns bad (or vice versa), would this not affect your opinion of them? We can all point to living examples of this right here on this forum.

No actually, just tired of the mentality of what has happened.

Guilt by association went out a long time ago.....well maybe not with the Patriot Act....

You take a stance, and believe me, I respect your stance. I just choose to disagree. The problem is when the business ethics of a person get boiled down to whether they forgot comma's or their syntax, then we have decide to adopt the mentality of a time that is not one we should be proud of.

You Wes keep using the phrase of the inquisition, (pertaining to this site) yet the Bobby's and your choice to attack at end for things that can be taken multiple ways, is wrong.

Rick has not ripped people off, he gets animals from Joe. For you that is wrong for me............. I dint know Joe and I don't deal with Joe, Rick is who I would be dealing with. I deal with Rick, so when Rick screws up its his shoulders. And my point is what I tried to say early, if I buy a FWC from you and sell him. The rep on the line is mine not yours not anyone's, mine. And if you have screwed up and made a mistake I am the one to eat it. If I do so then who cares what you have done. You screwed up but I make good because its me, is all I need to worry about. Rick is the one to make good on his deals, so far I can't see a reason not to trust he will.

Let Rick stand on his own, if you can't do that then fine. But don't add to the mentality the enables a post like what Jas did and think that all is well. You are smart enough to realize that the repeated attacks and the stupid things of context give credence to those who feel that a lifestyle or personal behaviour is subject to our approval for doing business. Wes you and I are the last people on earth to judge a persons business ethics based on the mistakes we have made on a personal level.

I'm not in bed with a known scumbag. rick is. I produce what I sell OR inform the buyer otherwise. Had we not been so hardcore on rick, would we know that he's a shill for joey? I think not.

As I've stated, feel free to support whomever you wish. But you KNOW better than to support known scumbags, and buying joeys animals from rick is just that, and not expect anyone to say anything about it.

That's the crux of it I think. You keep mentioning buying from me and reselling. Fine, but I, just me, am NOT a scumbag. joey capony is. rick is supporting him. buying from rick is also supporting him.

You don't have to let yourself see it but it's there just as plain as day in spite of your lack.

Michael, I do understand what you are saying. In some cases, I would even agree.

In my view....this is how the scum keep going in this business in this case, however. They can't sell their own animals anymore, so they find someone who will do it for them. Regardless of whether you are purchasing Joe's animals from Joe or from Rick....the majority of the money is still going back into Joe's pockets.

OK first I know you wouldn't buy from Rick simply because you, like me, do not buy partial hets so I am thinking this may be a moral issue for you.

I thoroughly understand the attitude that sometimes these threads go overboard and I agree and I would tend to agree that sometimes there is a "follow the leader" routine. I myself was thinking the same thing. If Rick admitted from the beginning that he was buying from Joe he would be damned, if he didn't and got caught (which he did) admit it at the git go he would be damned as well. Rock and a hard place. I see what you are trying to say and feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

In your defense of this stance and the way some people here have handled it I think you may have lost track of the fact that these people for the most part are just trying to spare someone else down the road heartache.

Take a rest from this, lower the defenses and look clearly. You stance is a moral one, it is also one that could be carried too far, two different situations going on here. The TWO different situations are combining now, not a good thing.

Micheal, I don't agree with the guilt by association attitude that some others do. However, it does appear that Rick has lied about his business relationship with Joe.

Maybe someone can clear this up for me. Are the animals on the previously posted list of potential production going to be produced by Rick or MKR? Right now I am thinking that at least some of them are MKR's expected production.

I'm fairly certain that somewhere in this thread that Rick stated that he is accepting deposits for animals to be produced by MKR in that he will not over-sell. I would imagine those are the animals that are posted in his list.

Look at it from a numbered scale perspective, with 0 being neutral and meaning that there is nothing extraordinary negative or positive with doing business with Rick. Then add pluses and minuses to that.

A negative total is a thumbs down and a positive total is a thumbs up. Rate factors such as:

1. Dealings with him - Previous negative/positive
2. Your opinion on Joe Capone - neg/pos
3. Type of deal (pre-hatch sale, etc) - neg/pos
4. And so on ...

Some our viewing these factors as negative/neutral/positive. If your total is in the negatives, spend your money elsewhere. If positives, go for it.

It's all very subjective, just weigh all the factors here and go with your assessment. It seems like some arguments are related to disagreement between certain individuals and how they think everyone should go with their own personal assessment.

Regardless of how this pans out, I think there will be plenty of "I told you so" posts.
