In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi,

I posted a couple of days ago about "High Plains Herps" and got only one response -- apparently this name is brand new. However, I did e-mail the man and found that his name is Robert Stone (his name was not in the ad).

The deal almost seems too good to be true -- then again, I would hate to pass it up if he truly is just starting out.

If anyone has any info on Robert Stone of Colorado, please let me know.

Thanks,

Kitt Hollister

The name is extremely familiar. I might be wrong, but...

I met a kid about two years ago halfway between Denver and Colorado Springs. He had a pair of Bull Snakes, about 25-30 Garter Snakes, and 4 or 5 Racers that he wanted to sell. They were all local wild caught animals. He ended up just giving them to me... And asked for a few dollars for gas to get him back to Denver. I ended up releasing most of the snakes.

I'm not saying for sure if this is the same kid, but like I said, the name sounds familiar.

Inquiry: High Plains Herps & Rob Stone

Kitt,

High Plains Herps is actually operated by two people, Tom Weaver, and Rob Stone. I've known Tom for about 4 years, and Rob for a little more than 2. Both these guys are on the up and up. Tom's been working on this buisness for awhile and finally got a name in time for Daytona, so yeah, the name is very new.

They're selling some animals for me, on a pretty fair comission, and were nice enough to take them down to Daytona for the meet.

I also bought two bloods from them just a little while ago, both were in great shape, sexed properly, and just like their pictures.

I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again.

Any questions, just PM me.
Cheers,
DH

Robert Stone

Hi,

Thanks for the replies; I just wanted to ad, for the sake of anyone searching for Robert Stone or High Plains Herps on the BOI, that I did some research and learned that Mr. Stone is a former employee of Pro Exotics. Robyn reccommended him highly, as did Kara of NERD. I, personally didn't order anything from him, as I ended up getting some bloods from Kara instead; however, it seems like he's a good guy with some great snakes.

High Plains Herps is his new business that he is starting with his partner.

Thanks, and hope this helps some one,

Kitt Hollister
