    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Neil...I gotta call you out on this one...lol...I saw your Green x Yellow Anaconda ad over there at KS and found it to be very mis-leading, and an obvious attempt to fling the "morph craze dookie" over in Anaconda land too!!

Here's your ad...

These are very interesting morphs! The Father is a GREEN Anaconda, and the Mother is a YELLOW Anaconda! Nobody has raised them to maturity yet (this is the first year of these morphs), so all I can tell you as far as length is they'll get 10'-25' long! They have the body color of the Yellows and the spots of the Greens! This is the perfect time to get in on the ground floor of this new breed! Both animals are about 5' long right now and pounding anything you put in front of them! There are only TWO pair available, so don't think about it too long

With all of your self expressed "experience" in this hobby, you truly don't expect the herp community to think any of the above is accurate in any way shape or form, do you??

Morphs??? C'mon, these are a cross...and I know you know the difference.

Look, I swear I'm not picking on you, but I want to know what's the deal with this ad?? From what I've gathered, the Green x Yellow's have been bred in captivity on more than a few occassions, and just happens to be not so uncommon in nature as well. So why all of the "Ground Floor" on a "New Morph" in the "First Year" stuff Neil??? Don't tell me the guy you got them from told you the info...that's not good enough...you've been in the hobby far too long to be that desperate for knowledge.

Am I out of line for letting this rub me the wrong way?? If so, my apologies...it's just, I hate to see reptiles made to sound like new or used cars...Neil, if I ever post an ad that ticks you off, or rubs you the wrong way, post it here...lol!!
 
Troy, it's just a sales pitch he is using to get someone to jump the gun and buy before thinking about it.

My own opion is that Neil's stuff is over priced and represented by some of the worst photography I have ever seen.

He sure won't win any photo contests with the works I have seen him post LOL
 
Troy.... you're probably right.... I might have used the wrong word (morph instead of cross), but, the breeder of these crosses is one of the most well-known breeders in Florida for "larger" boas, pythoins and retics.... to HIS knowledge (and mine), he was the FIRST to produce these "crosses" in captivity.... I have no reason to doubt him, because I have never seen any available except for the one's I have.... if you can tell me who else bred them, I'm all ears.... I've already sold one pair, plus a lone female, and the buyers are thrilled with them, so, I really don't see your problem.... unless it's just the fact that I mislabeled them as morphs and not crosses??

BTW.... You're more than welcome to scrutinize any ad of mine you ever see.... I'm never too old to learn....

Right again!!.... I just bought one of those new Gateway 5.0 cameras and I'm still messing with it.... I just can't figure out how to take a good picture yet.... my old 2.6 camera was better than this thing....

Anyone that has ever had any interest in any of my animals, I have always taken as many pictures as they needed to make their decision....

And if you don't like my prices.... don't buy them??.... How easy is that??.... It always amazes me, though, that no matter how many of my "high-priced" animals I sell, they just keep coming back for more.... wonder why that is???.... Maybe it's the QUALITY??.... Ya think??....

Actually, these have been done before. Yellow X Green anaconda crosses were produced here at NERD in 2000. The male we kept from that litter is actively courting a female yellow at this time, as well as other animals breeding to produce this cross again. Definitely interesting snakes, but don't know that I'd call it anything other than a hybrid.

My digital also takes the worst animal pics I have seen. I try using my conventional camera and scaning the pics. Or I just end up with blurred pics and bad light.

I personally think the animals you posted were very nice, and I'm glad to hear they're doing well. I guess I should have known better than to question your ad, I think what has happened is, in my eyes, the whole "morph" term has really been abused as of late, and I guess you were the "catch all" for me to voice my frustrations on how loosely the phrase "New Morph" has been utilized in the hobby. I know you're doing the right thing...just look at some of the animals you've had posted up lately...nice stuff!! So I guess I'll leave you alone...lol...I was just curious as to why you called them "morphs" because in my opinion, they wouldn't sell any better or worse just calling them what they are...nice crosses!!

Man...NERD does it all!!!! I was talking with Mark Bell about your Green x Yellow's not to long ago, so I am not surprised :) you and Kevin got all the right stuff, let me tell ya!! I agree...they make nice looking animals for sure. I think that's one reason why some ads get under my skin, the likes of NERD, BHB Ent., etc have worked many years establishing legitament business', with amazing animals and I hate to see it tarnished - even just a little bit. I usually brush them off, I guess I'm starting to get that flu going around, and I'm not the most pleasant hobbiest to be around right now!! Soon I'll be back to my normal self...smiling at everyone I meet :)

Scott.... oh well.... and you're wrong on the "possibly gravid" thing.... I think they ARE gravid, but I don't know for sure.... she has been sleeping on her side all week.... what does that tell YOU???.... She just doesn't LOOK gravid.... so I say "possibly"....

I have seen some of his ads on KS[oops bad word]just out of curiosity and his pics are better than mine[ have not yet mastered the picture taking ability yet] seems new cameras are constantly coming out. Or I forget about taking pics thru glass or flash this and not flash that

really anyone with any knowledge of hogg islands knows that their is nothing spcial about a hypomelanistc hog because thats how they naturally occur... these were "100% pure higs" LOLOL not those hypo x hogs hehehe

OY, the things people come up with...... and of course the price tag was outragious, it wasnt even a nice lookin hog

Maybe you should have stated that you only have one lone female left when you edited your post...and while you're at it update your "animals sold since 02/2003" section...that way we can keep an accurate track of your sales, so when they double for you, the anal retentive club can watch first hand...lol!! Good luck buddy!! Take it easy!!
 
Troy.... I've still got a 7' pair left.... the lone female was sold about 2 months ago.... she had nothing to do with the 2.2 I have for sale.... the 1.1 that was JUST sold, were actually 6' plus.... the buyer was ecstatic because he thought he was getting 4-5 footers....
