In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Intense Herpetoculture - Any feedback?

Justyn is trying to sell frogs from Cameroon to a company in Texas named Aqua tech. The deal was that Aqua tech pay 1/2 deposit and 1/2 upon arrival.

From Justyn:

What the hell am I going to order from Cameroon? I don't even have a decent supplier there. the ONLY frog worth that kind of money in Cameroon is Conraua goliath which can not be brought into the USA (threatened species).

As for depoists, I learned my lesson on that one, never agian! If something goes wrong. You listen to Dave Lawson. also, Aqua Tek sells fish, I buy fish from them for my magazines. That is the extent of our relationship.

Justyn

Thats funny it was goliath frogs you offered them according to John Roberts. But I guess we can always call Aqua Tek and ask them.

Care to give us the ph. number?

And this does what to help this thread? This could be seen as a blatantly side tracking this thread. I'd suggest further questioning in this fashion be kept in PM and off the threads.

We are supposed to be trying to get our refunds and stopping Justyn from stealing anybody elses money.

If you haven't filed a complaint with the IC3, please do so. www.ic3.gov The more complaints that we get filed, is a step closer to stopping him.

What do you have to say for yourself, Justyn? Oh that's right, you are too much of a coward to come here and address any of this, and answer to these hard working peopl ethat sent you their money. What the hell happened to the guy I knew to be honest and good? I thought you had integrity. Where did you go? Or did you ever exist at all? To all that had their money STOLEN, I am sorry I ever put in a good word for him.

Who would have guessed!!

Don't worry dedicated readers, the saga isn't over yet.

the Atheris will be here Tues and cleared. If you are interested in animals at the time I can ship out as soon as Wed. If not, it will take about a week or less for a refund.

I will send pics on Wed. I also have XXXXX coming to pick out animals on Wed as well, so there should be no doubt, no issues.

Since they were supposed to be here yesterday, and he was going to be shipping out today (Sept 5), I emailed to ask him about them. His reply:
My forwarder in Europe dropped out last min, I guess he did not know he needed a transit permit. We are looking into an easier way witha transfer using a partner airlines. I will know tomorrow what is going on. I am as frustrated as you right now. I will let you know tomorrow.

Not much I can say about it, except that it comes as no surprise for him to tell me that he is "frustrated" with the situation. I guess he is frustrated, I'm sure he planned for us to forget about being ripped off by now.

From Justyn:

What happens with the money? Life! Deals fall trhough, projects get delayed, etc. At that same time bills still pile up, my family needs to be fed, etc. Do you think I'm crusing around in luxury while this is happening? No! It's been a shitty year for ponds with all the rain and various issues with herps have put me in a state of a smaller bank account.
Do you think it is easy making a living working for yourself? Sometimes when everything goes as planned things are great and you have a good amount to spare, but throw a few things into the mix and your happy to keep your house and make sure you have enough gas to get to and from jobs.

I expect that shipment to come in on Monday, I expect money to me made off it, I expect to pay off my debts to others. will it happen that way, I don't know. Maybe everything comes in dead or half dead, I've had that happen before, at least once this year.

Justyn

Bad year for ponds?

I'm confused by what Justyn told Craig Esposito about not having money because it has been a bad year for ponds. You see, on May 8 he emailed:

I am shipping stuff out, but I can only ship out so fast while
also trying to ship out animals each day via Delta. I am also trying to catch up on pond jobs during the day (BIG pond jobs).

And on June 5 Justyn said:

As for delays, yes, there have been delays for multiple reasons. I run a tight sift and anything of of wack causes issues. My day gennerally involves waking up, checking e-mails, getting my crew together and going to work on the ponds....I am just about back to my normal day after a few ponds form hell.

Oh, but wait. On July 9 Justyn informed me that:

I would have normally been able to just pay of this debt quickly with income from my pond jobs, but since it's rained here in DFW nearly everyday for the past fours months I have not had as much come in as I would like, I can't do most of the work in the rain.

That really gets confusing, doesn't it? In May and June he can't ship snakes or take photos because he is too busy working on ponds. Then July hits and with all the rain he hasn't been able to work on ponds for four months. That seems sort of contradictory, but, hey, facts are facts, right?

Just an observation I've made after moving to the DFW area... People here don't do SQUAT outside when it's raining or shortly after it has rained. A 1/2 mile chunk of road in town here has been under construction since last February and a moderate rain one day means you won't see the crews out for the next three. I don't get it, maybe it's because of the soil or something here, but back in WI the only time they weren't working the ground was when it was frozen (and even that didn't always stop them). This summer has been unusually rainy (or so I'm told, anyway) but honestly, I've seen far more sunny days than cloudy ones. Until a week ago, my lawn was 90% dead because it had been so dry for several weeks. So yeah... :shrug01:

would it be because of high possibility of flash floods down there?
