In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone had any experience with I.D.B (International Dragon Breeders, Inc.) in Pacoima, Ca?

Are they proffesional and reptutable?
Do they pay their bills on time?

I am a breeder and they want to do business with me. Any feed back would be greatly apprecaited.

I don't understand your problem?? Who cares WHO they are? If THEY want to do business with YOU....YOU get the money FIRST...then YOU send the animals to THEM! What's the problem??? ....Neil

Neil,

Well, this is the problem. They want 30 day terms. No payment for 30 days, so I want to know if they pay their bills on time.

Bill,
I don't know if it is still being done, but when I was a large breeder/dealer I let some Buisnesses use Term, 7 days to 30 days.  All I can tell you, it was a Nightmare trying to collect.  I went from being a Reptile dealer to a Collection Agency.  I now do buisness on a much smaller scale, and everything is "cash only".

Bill, regardless of someone's reputation, I would just walk away from anyone asking for terms. My own philosophy is that unless they're an accredited zoo, university, or some other educational institution, the only terms I'll provide them are payment in full before delivery.

Any dealer or private individual that asks for terms is walked away from. By sending them animals before you get money in hand, you'd be opening yourself up to a whole plethora of problems.

Thanks all for the advice. This is the first time I have gone out of town to sell my chameleons and I usually just sell to pet stores. However I am now producing more than they can buy and need to find a dealer to work with. I can see why going on terms could open a whole new bag of bad worms. Thanks for all the advice and I will keep it in mind. Greatly appreciated.

Also there are plenty of other wholesalers who is buy what ever you produce.  Granted they won't pay you top dollar, but they will pay.

Bill...Remember this!! "In GOD We Trust! ...All Others PAY CASH!!"
I (personally) would NEVER agree to that, unless he was part of my Family! Think about it!! They want to use YOUR animals to sell, BEFORE they have to PAY for them! It's REDICULOUS!!! You do what you want, but I wouldn't touch that deal with a FORKLIFT!! ....Neil

Don't get me wrong, I have done business with them in the past, but I will only do business cash or animals in hand (especially with family  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> ).  I will work on a trust basis if I know the person, or know that they have been around a while, I have done business with them in the past and/or they are known to be reputable.
