    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

personally, I am more a fan of pure hogs...but at least you didn't ruin a good hog female by coupling her with a normal male :D
 
I agree with Harald. I find their is nothing prettier than a pure hogg. Too many are trying to breed out something wild and then end up with a bunch of normal looking animals. Cross breeding just does not do it for me, especially the argentineXcolumbian boa cross, ugh!

But have you seen the salmontines? They are most certainly one of my favorites especially crossed with albino.

Unfortunately, hogs are Bci, so breeding them with normals or hypos isn't even an issue of crossbreeding in the conventional sense. Its just a mixing of locales. As for the look - I'm starting to like them more and more...except I seem to be in the minority - I like mine speckled http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showpost.php?p=359987&postcount=12
 
Bob-nope, I have not seen the salmontines. I will go look for them.

Harald-I understand that they are also BCI. It seems that every where I look people are breeding hoggs with a different locale of boa. I would just love to own an unrelated pure line. Maybe that is my big gripe here, I love hoggs that are normal far more than crossed with another locale boa. Sometimes I think that hoggs are way too under rated as normals.

Now don't get me wrong, I am open minded and may like a cross breed. If the salmonites are awesome than I may just like them too. I just find that keeping localities with localities always looks the best. I do have het albinos from a albino father and jungle mother, they are my only [known] crossed line of boas. Maybe I am a bit old fashioned.

natural hoggs do have a good look to them ,but i think crosses have their own
j'uno se qua if you know what i mean,there own flare
i think there are still alot of people out there breeding pure lines

but curiousity will not be tamed
just my take on that

Eric, nothing to apologise for. You asked for thoughts so I added mine. I respect the way others see things, in return I ask that they respect the way I see things also. You like crosses, thats cool, I hold nothing against you for it.

I haven't been particularly impressed with the salmontines that I have seen...but I was FLOORED by a pair of poss super salmontines that I saw recently
