    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Iowa permits for Indigo snakes

From what I can tell so far you can purchase Indigo snakes within a state, but need a permit if you buy one from another state, is this correct? I live in Iowa, how would I go about getting a permit to buy an Indigo snake?

Hi Bobby. You'll need to get a Captive Born Wildlife (CBW) permit. Application is online. Buyer and seller must have the permit for a legal commercial transaction.

You only need permits for Easterns, unless you have local ordinances that dictate otherwise. Generally, the Texas Indigos can be shipped to and kept anywhere in the country.
