In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey all,

I have a question. I just got my rack system yesterday its the MCB-S wide version from reptile Basics and I got it all set up no problem. I did not put any snakes in it yet coz I want to make sure it works properly, I did put waterbowls in there with water like I would if the snakes were living it it. Now I had it set at 92 for day 75 at night. There is a bunch of humidity building up in the tubs and the paper is moist. Is that saposed to happen? I just want to make sure I am doing this right and not going to harm my snakes. Any knowladge that you could pass along to me about the proper use of racking systems would be greatly appreciated. :shrug01: Thanks so much
Shannon

Any chance you may be spilling the water bowl when you slide the tub shut? Silly question but it got me once :O

They all get condesation on the front of the tubs wet,My BPs like high humid so I dont care mine have been like that for years you may want to drill holes to adjust the levels of humidity.

That is a possibility. I do recall seeing a damp spot on the paper. Now let me ask this. sorry for the questions I am new to racking systems and I want it to be right. If the temp in the room where I keep the rack is already at 80 degreese do I still set if for 92 during the day? And is that 92 degreese only near the heat tape or does it make it 92 degreese inside the tub?

Ok Maybe I will drill holes. I see a lot of racks that have holes drilled in them near the top. That should not be a problem. I mean they are baby boas and I know humidity is good for sheding and what not. Thanks
