    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This magazine is irritating. :angry: I have paid for a subscription once before in the past and currently have one. Both times now I have missing issues that were not sent to me, however the subscription info on thier website says I should have already recieved the March and April issue. Never got them. I requested those issues as missing, and was told they are no longer available. How is that since they are not even in the stores yet. Well supposably my subscription was extended for two months. However the previous subscription had the same problem, and they did not keep the promise of an extended subscription. ( The only reason I got this recent subscription is because it was only 10.00 and I thought the first subscription issue was a one time problem.) So I'm sick of the unreliability. Also I'm curious if anyone else has had or is having this problem?
Also what was the subjects in the March and April issues? Thanks!
 
I hope you get your subscription straightened out. I let mine lapse and need to get the March 2008 issue because a sib to one of my snakes is on the cover!!

A couple year ago I bought someone a gift subscription. In 4 months they got 12 back issues. I opted to not " gift " the mag subscription again.
 
I let my subscription lapse.....the missing issues were just part of the reason, but I had the same trouble. I would get a couple months as normal, then wouldn't see an issue for a couple months....it just wasn't worth it.

And I have to agree with Dan, that is a gorgeous snake, Cathy!
 
I mentioned this in another thread. My subscription was not renewed based on the direction the Magazine was taking. The main articles were always about some breeder that wanted to promote his livestock. Yes, it was nice seeing the pictures but you can see those also over the internet. The more technical information I was looking for was not there anymore. Not to mention the fact that some of the "experts" have started in the hobby only a few years ago and with the "money-making" machines. Maybe it was just my perception but every article was more of an infomercial than giving out really useful, unbiased information.
 
My biggest gripe is with them allowing TurtleSale to advertise... we all know the horrors of that company...
 
I quite buying the magazine ages ago. Just go into a bookstore or my local petstore once a month and read it for free. So much easier that way...and cheaper, too!

On the same subject, their forums suck and the mods are nazis over there. I'm glad I finally got banned.
