In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This is Elwood, he's 2 years old and 109 grams

Does he look overweight to you guys?

What are some good indicators that a Leopard Gecko has gained too much weight?

Thanks for your input - I'd like to keep my little guys as healthy as possible :)

*Note - The dead skin was removed from his nail tips after the picture

Why do you think your leo is too fat?

I don't really - I was just curious that I might be wrong. I weighed him today and he's 109 grams. I guess he's just a biggun' :D

I got him from Sean Neiland (VMSHerp) when he was about 6mos. old - he's a Mack Snow

So 109 grams is ok for a non-giant Leopard gecko? :)

I just read in a book (Co-written by Ron Trumper) that 100 was for unusually large males - but Elwood is ONE HUNDRED NINE!

Just shocked me a bit, I guess

Elwood? What a cute name! It suits him.

It would be easier to tell with a picture from above....but you know, I'd rather see em a bit chunky than being thin. ;)

Then again, my local vet teases me about my dogs and horses being....um....a bit porky. Heh.

Here's a picture from above - I poked(felt, not actually poked) him in the neck, and it's pretty pudgy :yesnod:

I feed him meal worms every 3 days - not super worms, just the regular meal worms and once in a while he gets crickets - clean ones, not fish bait (but who knows how clean they really are?)

he doesn't look bad to me. just big.. and.. um.. WHAT neck? ha ha ha ha

I went and weighed my big leo.. 72 grams.. so.. DANG girl.. ha ha ha ha ha
