    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ok so I just picked this girl up as a possible Gravel. She was from a Highway breeding so she is definitely either a Gravel or a Yellowbelly. What do you guys think? Would love some opinions from people with experience dealing with Gravels.

I had a buddy interested in that same one. I havent worked with gravels yet but will probably see some next season from my highway female. Yellowbellies and gravels are hard to tell the difference and i think it would be easier as they are babies to see it better. I do know you got one heck of a deal if it is a gravel. Goodluck on the breeding!

I dont have any gravels in my collection either but have seen lots of pics. In my opinion she looks like a gravel. I just dont see the yb in her. All my yb have that intense speckled belly & the yellows. Also most yb have the more intense flames with yellows or some type of color in them. Then again there is some low expression yb out there. Her belly to me doesnt look like yb & her flames are like smokey, not yb ish. Good luck. Update us when you get a clutch from her.

Looks YB to me...but that's just opinion. I've only worked with YB and sparks. Gravels have never seemed like anything I'd be able to determine as different from a normal. That being the case, yours seems to be YB. Hope she proves out for you.

for a comparison

Whats funny is im seeing more yellow on the belly of the gravel then the actual yellowbelly... so what would you say are the differences between the gravel and yb gene?

A lot more flames (up the sides and over the back) and much lighter color on the YB. Little specks in the center of the belly on gravels. Thicker tracks on gravels.
I still suck at picking these out even with several variations here of the YB complex animals. Some gravels look YB and some YB's look gravel. Very frustrating sometimes picking them out.
Personally, unless it was from a super gravel, I would be afraid to say anything but possible.
Throw in asphalt and now its even worse. LOL

Im doing a pastel,enchi,yb X highway in november. Hopefully i wont hatch any single gene yb or gravels. I can only imagine the fustration on picking them out from each other.

I don't look forward to it. I am currently breeding a gravel to a pastel specter and to an ivory. Going to really bite when they hatch. Highways and gravel stripes will be easy. The rest of the offspring will be tough.

Based on the specks in the center and the thicker tracks, I would go with gravel.
