In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Is she okay?

I tried asking questions on this site before with no help but I guess I will give it another shot.

I can't seem to figure out how to get my Iggy to turn green. Shes got constant heat and it stays about 90deg at the basking spot. She eats Collard greens, dandelion greens, turnip greens, kale, and a few greenbeans a day. I keep the window open for her ( not sure if that does anything). She also seems to be constantly shedding. When shes done with one shed she seems to just be starting another. I spray her down 2x a day with water (im installing amister in the next few weeks). I just dont get it...=/ any ideas? If at all possible could someone reply before the year is over? My last question was viewed by like 60 people and no one could answer anything until nearly 2 months after...kinda useless then.

Hello

Hello,

Could you provide a bit more information for me & I will see if I can help you out. I do not have much experience with iggies, but am somewhat knowledgeable on them anyway.
How old is your iggy for starters? If she is constantly shedding, then, she must still be young then so she is growing.
Are you providing good quality UVB as well as the heat? What do you measure your temps with? The 90 is ok, but could probably go up to 95-98 or so for better digestion. What are the ambient temps of the tank running at? The overall ambient should not exceed 80, try to keep it 78-82.

Green Iguana is just a name. Sometimes they're not the bright green you're trying for and never will be. I've had some that were a grayish green color for example.

Hello

Hello,

I posted on your other thread that was a bit old, sorry, but as I said I am never in this section but was just browsing & thought I would try to help.
If you could answer the following questions we can help you better.
How old is your iggy?
What are you measuring the temps with?
What type & brand of UVB are you using, & how old is it? (I assume it is fairly new since you have not had your iggy long), so just the brand, please
What type & brand of supplementation are you using & how often do you use it?
How do the stools look, are the urates hard or moist? How does the skin look wrinkly or tight? How do the eyes look bright or sunk in?
