    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

is there something wrong??

i'm a little worried that my crestie has something stuck in her throat..... she/he keeps opening and closing her mouth like there is something (perhaps a cricket leg?) logged in there, although i can't seem to see anything when she opens. i'm also worried that the crickets that i fed her(or him) earlier were too big. in doing some research to see if this was normal (maybe a yawn or something) i read about feeding crickets that were the appropriate size. and now i'm worried that they were way too big,anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on this?

What kind of substrate is he she on?She could have got a pice of sub strate stuck.

she is on paper towel, i think that i'm just overly paranoid as i was with my hoggie! maybe i have too much time on my hands and start thinking of all of the "what if" situations! i do tend to do that!! (a lot!) she seems perfectly fine this morning,but i will still keep a watchfull eye on her just the same! thanks for the reply.

In the original post you mention that you thought the crickets were too big. She would do this if she was having a problem swallowing them (assuming she's not eating substrate or shed as previously stated), and you should definitely move to smaller pray items. I usually try to do about 1/2 to 2/3 the width of the head as a maximum for prey items. You could also consider switching her over to CGD if you wanted to avoid live altogether, I've had excellent luck with it (althoug getting them to switch can take some patience).

thanks a lot for all the great suggestions! s/he seems fine, however she is still opening her mouth quite wide at times as if something is still stuck. there has been no change in activity which is releiving, still pouncing at all of the water drops as they slide down the glass and drip off of the leaves!!! i will watch for the next time s/he opens wide, see if i can see anything out of the ordinary,and thanks again to all who replied;)
