    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Is this a hint?

For some time now, I have housed my male Caulker Cay boas on an uncompleted rack. Admittedly not the best choice, since there is no shelf above them...therefore, nothing holding the top should they be of a mind to wander. Last night (or this morning), one did just that. As luck would have it, I started my afternoon cleaning in the rack across the room; and became aware of his wanderlust when I found him tucked in the back of one of the shelves. Interestingly, this shelf was about 6 ft up and housed my 2 adult female Caulkers (he was behind one of them). Should I chalk that up to coincidence? Or is he telling me that it's time?

I would take that as a hint, is breeding him something you are planing to use him for this coming year? I have a male boa that has not stopped trying to mate with a female I have him with since January of this year, 9 months of work and she is still not giving in. Or one of them is sterile. I had my Suriname's not start breeding until may of this year.

I was planning to start introducing the pairs around the middle of next month - so yes, breeding opportunity was in his imminent future. I have everybody's weight right around where I want them & was going to start temp cycling at the end of this month (or whenever the house temp gets where I want it, lol).
