In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Is this weird or is it just me

Well i had a couple of red tails listed for sale or trade and recieved a few replies for things i wasnt really interested in,So after a few weeks i got a reply from a guy stating that he is interested in buying them.

After we exchanged a few emails pertaining to info about the herps he then informed me that he definetely wants to buy them and tells me he currently is living in the uk on vacation,But supposedly he is from maryland, And he supposedly has a wife in maryland.

He then ask if i am able to ship internationallly which i am not,And he says no matter that he has an international shipper it wouldnt be a problem.

So anyways what he proposes is, he is going to have his wiife(in maryland) send me a postal money order for 3000$ I am to cash it take my money out and then he wants me to take the left over 2500 and western union it to this international shipper of his and after the shipper recieves his money he will come to my location and pick up the snakes.

Now this seems very odd to me,Why end up paying 3000 for a pair of boas,I mean there nice but there no morphs or genetic magic !I ask him why cant your wife just send me my money and the shipper his money, and he tells me that his wife doesnt like him having reptiles and exotics so he doesnt want her to know what hes getting so hes telling her hes buying something other than snakes, and doesnt want her to know what the shipper is shipping!

I also ask him why not just get herps over there in the uk, he never gave me an answer! I dont know what the laws are over there or anyhting with uk herps but surelly you can get snakes over there and not have to pay a few grand to ship.

I dont really know what to think of all this,It just seems very wierd and thought id post and see what you guys thought! Should i or shouldnt I?Anything legal i should know?

But anyways any feedback or thoughts on this is greatly appreciated!!

This is an old scam. Just ignore this joker and move on. The BOI has a couple of threads about the old international shipper middle man.

Nigerian Scam

Jed,
This scam is very wide-spread. Do a search on Nigerian Scam and you'll get plenty of reading material. The basic premise is this.

You deposit the very genuine looking Cashiers Check into your bank account.
You send the balance off to your buyer or his "Shipping Agent"
About 3 weeks later when your bank finally realizes that the check is fake, they back charge you for the balance.

It's nearly impossible to prosecute someone in another country.

I usually get at least one of these for every add that I post.

Of course, there are people who make good use of these scammers for entertainment purposes. They'll string them along and waste alot of their time. I've read threads where people have collected dozens of these fake cashiers checks.

If you have an evening to spend and want some entertainment, check out this website: http://www.ebolamonkeyman.com/
This guy has dedicated himself to having fun at their expense.

Regardless, do what you want with this fool, but don't believe that it's real for a minute.
