    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Btw I live in Ohio. So not just your state. Do you know those people personally? To say they are telling the truth? Do you have proof no one else does that they were told they didn't need a permit or if they even went? Isn't it possible since they were told they were grandfathered in they just didn't bother to research the new laws and didn't bother to check if they would still need a permit so now that they want to take the bear for noncompliance they're going to say anything they can to try to keep it? I read the laws, obviously they didnt, I called well in advance of him hitting 12 ft if he even does since he's supposedly 2 1/2 and only 8ft. But I would like to get a female. I'm making these attempts so that I can legally keep my animals. That article makes it sound like they didn't bother to even try.

Why do you even have retics...have you ever seen a bite from a make retic in breeder mode....do you know what your getting yourself into...the issue I have with you having retics is the fact you support Ohio's laws... It makes me wonder if you get will you then support banning them altogether. ..a male retic can be dog tame and during breeding season turn into a totally different animal. ...I see so many people getting retics now days and most of them have no understanding of what a retic really is...It's not a burm it's not a boa...it's to a retic...during breeding season I handle my males with a hook like they're venomous

Do you have any proof the the opposite questions your asking. ..and keep I mind yes ohio is your state but it's also a lot of other people's state two..and a lot of those people don't agree with Ohio's new laws. Your one person with two retics. ..what about the breeders in ohio..what about the dealers that sell to people in ohio. ...you're only looking at this issue from your own perspective. Not as a whole

Rodney why didn't you say any of this to me in Retics worldwide?? Huh?? When you KNEW I reused him from a bad situation. Or did you leave that group too? Haven't seen you post in there. Do not question why I have a retic, if I will support banning them if I get bit, who the hell do you think you are?! I've taken a bite from a 7 1/2 boa to the back of the head, was my fault but that is another story, and I did not blame her, I took the bite calmly put her back and washed my wounds. I continued to hold and love on her. I've been bit by snakes before. Not to mention he is breeding age, was proved when I had him probed at the vet while getting his mouth checked out. I highly doubt a male who's not sexually mature would have sperm plugs come out on the probe. I support their laws because not everyone needs to have them, not everyone who has boas rakes care of them properly and keeps them in small tanks! At least if you need a permit and some regulations you Need to follow to keep them it will keep most of the irresponsible people away.

What are YOU doing to help these laws? To help large constrictor owners other than sit and complain on here?? Huh?? Oh and attack people for their choice of pet, I say I have a retic and you go off making assumptions I can't handle it, do you know me personally?? Do you know anything about my experience with snakes?? No? Then shut up about what I own!

You just proved.my point if you think a boa bite is anything like a bite from a breeder male retic..and 8ft is breed able. ..also it the snake had shed recently or is being kept warm. There will be little to no sperm.. personally iv never seen sperm come out on a probe...the probes are usually lubricated to allow for nothing to stick to it so it will slide in......most bites from male retics during breeding season require at least stitches and usually some surgery to repair muscles and tendons..

Did I say it was like a boa? No. I really don't care what you have to say anymore since you feel you can tell people what they should and shouldn't own. Why because I'm female? What makes you think I can't handle a retic? Again do you know me personally? Everyone starts somewhere. This is why I hate most people who own big snakes because you've bad them for so long you think no one else can handle them. you're so concerned about laws that aren't even in your state yet are doing nothing about it but complaining then telling someone they shouldn't have one. Yea he's my first one but that doesnt mean I can't handle him. I would think me cleaning his mouth wounds and injections would cause a bite, he hasn't even threatened it. Not all snakes are the same. Get off your high horse and harass someone else.

All I kept asking is for you to put up facts and not baseless accusations. We already knew how much wyatt was spending on hotels and airfare. It was an amount that caused people to have differing opinion. it was NOT an outrageous amount that caused everyone to say for sure he was over the top.

Whatever you want to believe makee zero difference to me. Once again, don't be surprised if one agent says one thing and another says another. I hope you got an email address from the agent you talked to and got everything said verified in writing. It's what I do.

Considering the state didn't dispute they were in compliance prior to the new changes, I have little reason to doubt their statements. Also, the article addresses mowt of your points - you just give them little value. You do understand you're putting more weight to the words of people who, in the face of experts and herpetologists, claim Burms can colonize most of the continental US, yes? *shrug*

I said back of the head, I was holding her and someone knocked on my door, I was holding her head back behind mine to keep a distance between her and the person at my door, I must have had my hand in such a way it was cutting off her air (my mistake and a complete accident) and she struck out because that's all she could do. I was already right by the door so instead of walking a few rooms away and putting her away and coming back I opened the door in case it was important because people don't just stop by unannounced.
 
And to add onto that that was almost 3 years ago. I have only been bit like 3 times since and was all stupid feeding mistakes on my part.

Csp? In florida? So you know nothing of the permit process in Ohio, great another speaking on permit they haven't even applied for. I'm talking to the guy who runs Herps Alive here in Ohio and has the license. I think he'd know better than you guys. And says it's very easy to get.

First, stop trying to be cute or obtuse. My profile says I live in FL and I also said so in my example. Second, out of state or not, it is important to understand laws are written on very specific ways which leave room for interpretation for those executing them. FL laws are that eay. Reading the Ohio code (cause, yeah I did), they have the leeway to enforce the ZAA requirements at their discretion. Third, Herps Alive, despite having a permit, is *not* the person nor agency that gives the permits. To give another FL example (which you'll probably roll your eyes and ignore), I have heard it is both easy and hard to pass. I had a relatively smooth experience. But I had everything in writing from both the agency and agent who dod the inspection. Which leads to the fourth point - get all you can in writing. Not I called qnd wrote this down and someone with the permit told me. Get written documentation of what you've been told.

I didn't say he was giving me the permit if you re read it I said I'm talking to them because they HAVE the permit and he WENT THREW THE PERMIT PROCESS so yes he would be one to ask about it since he went threw it and yall said ask the people who keep retics and other large snakes but when I do you Rey to discredit it? Lmao good day.
