In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

It's been OVER a year!!!

Darrin:

I couldn't agree with you more regarding the purpose for the BOI

As a real person (Ed Ramsay) your comments are duly noted.

Thank you.

The problem is, the seller shouldn't be required to do ANYTHING at this point - it's over a year later.  It isn't a matter of a dissatisfied customer any more.  If you have a problem, it needs to be brought to the seller's attention within a reasonable amount of time - a few days or weeks at most.  Eric came here to ask for advise, something many of us here do, and the situation slid downhill from there.  The point is, the snake died while it was in Art's care and after an extended amount of time in his care.  The snake's gender didn't kill it, therefore it isn't Eric's 'duty' to customer service to replace or refund the supposedly now-dead snake.

Let's make it personal for a moment, would you reimburse anyone you sold an animal to after one year?  The death or gender of the snake is irrelevant.  It's been a year and has by Art's own admission been dead for some time!  Why would Eric be responsible for anything?

Art....nothing you say adds up

you say

alive? The paperwork says: Necropsy which signifies the disection of a dead animal, check any dictionary.
</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

1.  Why did you not ask for a report...after all that is what necropsies are for to DETERMINE the cause of death.

2.  Your vet could not determine the cause of death?  no duh....that is why he sends tissue samples to the lab

3.  When did you find out that the cause of death was unknown?  Because it seems you found out the same day you got that print out.  Which means the body was already disposed of before you were even told anything.

Art...I found this on another forum just for you
</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">I have, unfortunately, been involved in a couple of necropsies on dead snakes. The fact of the matter is, a frozen snake CAN be fully necropsied and a cause of death determined. I just got off the phone with my vet and he said the only thing freezing will do that is detremental to a necropsy is cause some crystalization in the blood and the death of most parasites. This should not preclude a determination of CAUSE OF DEATH.

Secondly, Art said earlier that he had no lab work done on the tissue of the animal because it was frozen. Freezing the animal may have killed some of the parasites which may or may not have been present but WOULD NOT have affected tissue samples in any way, shape or form.

Finally, my Vet doubts there was a necropsy done since most states REQUIRE that ANY tissue removed must be analized and documented so as to rule out any infectious diseases to humans which may create a hazard to human life. This process is all part of the final necropsy report, NOT a vaccanation report. And before anyone jumps to conclusions, this applies to ALL necropsied animals, not just reptiles.

In conclusion, I THINK ART NEEDS TO FIND A NEW VET.

The vet says he got rid of the body last monday?
Are you sure the vet did not get your snake confused with someone else's
after all he had no record.... he had no report........he had no body...he apperantly did not even write anything down...

When we do necropsies where I work.....if someone is not taking notes......then we usually have a tape recorder.

your vet should have some notes.
your vet should not sign a paper certifying that he vaccinated a dead animal
your vet should have sent some tissue samples to the lab
your vet should not have gotten rid of the body until he has spoken to you.

Unfortunately I think you need a new vet or get your story straight
