• Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Bad Guy Ivan Rodriguez

well all i know is for sure that is ivan, he claims it wasn't him but after looking up [email protected]

i found his youtube videos of the dragons he bought from rockinstar not to long ago which his youtube account is linked to [email protected]

so not sure what's going on,anyway good luck to both of you
 
I have not heard of anyone being able to cheat Paypal . It’s a shame we have done lots of business with Ty he is a great guy hate to see him our anyone get taken for their hard earned money.
 
Thanks for your kind words Bill. I received two phone calls from restricted number this morning, but I did not answer them as it is my policy not to answer calls from restricted numbers: Then at 11:14 AM, eastern time, I received a call from 919-332-6166 and since I was not with my phone at that time, Ivan left a message and I called him back at 12:01. He tells me that it was not him who did this and he rambled on about how he doesn't have that much money in his bank account and that he didn't do this. I told him if it was not him, he should file a claim with Paypal as someone is using his account for fraud. I told him that I need proof that it was not him who took the money, and that I need him to email Paypal and make a claim with them and post that here. He told me he would and we ended our conversation. Ivan called at 8:15 and since I was eating dinner, I let it go to my message and called him back at 8:30. He again told me that it was not him who took the money but because so many people are calling him and his reputation is suffering, he is willing to work something out like send me some adult bearded dragons...etc. I was really baffled by this as because I would never act this way. I told him I would not accept anything from an innocent man and if he is innocent of this he needs to prove that by going to Paypal fraud department and report it. I also told him that if he did do this, he needs to come clean and say he was sorry and that something like this won't happen again and we can work out a payment plan. He insisted that he was innocent, so I told him he needs to prove it and we ended our conversation. At 8:45, I get a call from a restricted number again, so I did not answer it but he called twice more, so I picked up the phone to stop the annoyance. He was very rude one the phone and first thing he shouted was "who is this" and he was the who called me...strange. I told him that he was rude and I asked him who he was and he told me he was Ivan's brother. at this time, I told him I do not talk to anyone who calls from a restricted phone and he needs to call me back on a unrestricted phone and hung up on him. I have not received a call since. My gut feeling...it is Ivan who took my money and did not deliver on the bearded dragons. I am willing to work out a payment plan as little as $100 a month but he needs to come clean and learn a lesson from this unfortunate incidence.
 
IMO, if I had this happen to me and i was innocent, i would not offer to give up adult dragons because i was "innocent"...doesn't seem right to me...
 
I got a call from Ivan this morning and although he is not 100% responsible for this...according to him, another person was involved....he is willing to compensate me fully within two week. Knowing that he is financially strapped, I told him that I am willing to give him 30 days to fully refund the $1000 and he has agreed. I would like to ask everyone to please only post encouraging words for the next 30 day and give him a chance to do the right thing!

I had a short but very encouraging conversation with Ivan today and I have received...via Paypal, $600 at 6:25 PM today. He has promised me the rest ($400) within few days. Mistakes were made, it takes a good person to admit it and fix it.
 
Ahhh Patience.......

We are happy to see someone do the right thing....great job Ivan for doing the right thing :thumbsup:and Ty for being patient and letting things unfold and giving him the chance to end up doing the right thing.... Most people wouldn't.:)

I am happy to report that at 1:33 PM today, Ivan Paypaled the rest of the funds ($400) ; and as of now, he has fully met his obligation to pay me back. Thanks Ivan!

I want to apologize to everyone but especially Ty Park. Thank you Ty for being patienant and understand and for the kind words. I want everyone to know that this was a mistake I was going through a rough time and please don't think of me as a bad guy because I really am not. I want to continue to be in the industry if you guys allow it and I hope we can all put this behind us. Once again thank you Ty. I also want to thank Tim, Tina and David Freeman for your support and I really tried to make this right. This was a life less for me. :eek:

Great job stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility! We need more people like you in the reptile industry. Thanks again for doing the right thing and settling this!
 
It's always good to see a "Bad Guy" thread end on a possitive note. Good job on making this right Ivan. It's a tight community and takes very little to destroy a name. :thumbsup:
