    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

After checking out a reference this J and A Reptiles looked like they were legit. However it seems to have 2 people involved using that name. Alex and Jesus Acevedo. The person I spoke with said he did plenty of buisness with Jesus on a regular basis but never with Alex yet I figured I was safe especially seeing he wanted the Name Jesus on the money order. Well the snakes arrived alive and I was not impressed by the way they were packaged but I decided to let them settle in before I started handling them. The 3 Floridana babies looked fine at a glance. The Black Rats, supposedly het for White Sided looked lousy. I figured at a closer inspection the next morning I'd think I was over reacting but that night one of them secreted something resembling spoiled chunky white milk! The snakes were so thin[in my opinion] that though I normally would wait to feed new arrivals I would have to feed them and make sure they drank some water and to my surprise they both ate immediately[maybe because they were starving?!] Of course they both regurged 3 days later. They poop almost every day and it is the nastiest wrong looking smelliest mess ever, though it is strating to look a little better. Anyways this guy will not return my emails and his ads are dropped from the classifieds I found him on. Anyone else have experience with these guys? Good or bad? Please let me know. Thanks Tom
 
Well, although I have never heard of these two nor have I bought form them, I have a few basic questions.

1. Did you ask/know if they were captive bred or wild caught?

2. Did you ask if they have any kind of a guarantee?

3. MOST IMPORTANT......if you were not happy when you got them in, why didn't you email them right away?

I would agree, that I too would be unhappy about receiving these, but if the above questions were never asked OR told to you, what can one expect?

Forgot to add something.

In MY experiences with regurging snakes, it normally happens before three days. Do you/did you have them set up on heat. Being too cold would make a snake not be able to digest and possibly regurge.

Just a thought.
 
Yes we emailed back n forth a bunch of times before we closed the deal. These are supposed to be het for white sided so of course theyre supposed to be captive born. Their temps are optimal, there's over 60 ther snakes in the same room all doing fine. This guy said 100% satisfaction garunteed. I told him the snakes arrived alive and that I would email him asap. I have a 1 year old daughter I care for who comes before anything. The 2 Rate snakes were in 1 bag inside the box and looked a bit shaken up form the trip. I told him I would email him the next day after I could give them a good looking over. When I did and I complained his contact with me came to a halt. Someone wrote me and told me these guys mostly deal in wild caught stuff........so I am assuming that's what I got. Therefore I have would have been ripped off even if these snakes were not sick, which they are. No way to prove theyre not hets til thier bred, if they survive. I have kept snakes for over 25 years. This is not a "new " hobby too me. This is the first time something like this has happened and I will never let it happen again. Tom
