    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

J D Reptiles (Jim Deaton) Indiana LIES, LIES ALL LIES!

Not to break the string of merry making....but this guy tried the same with me. I had a big male olive python for sale, and he called a few times with a private number asking if I'd be interested in any Amazing basin emeralds. Well sure I was, so, like usual, he said he'd mail me pics as he didn't have a computer. Yadda yadda. He actually got offended when I told him he'd have to ship because A. he had no real references and B. he offered the trade to me in the first place (he had the nerve to say "well how do I know I can trust you?" lol). I actually got him to give me his working phone number, but must have misplaced or chunked the paper on which it was written. I'll look around more and post it if I find it. This guy is a real piece of work. He's not some young scammer either - he sounded like he was more in the 40-50 year old ballpark. Just goes to show it's not just us 'youngins' that go around ripping people off.

we have been scammed i am afraid
I wish i known about this forum 2 weeks ago.
I was stupid and sent the snake out before i recieved payment. I have yet to receive payment of $2,200.00. was told he would send it on Monday the 13, then he called and said he sent it on the 15th. and we should have it on mondaythe 20th. Monday morning he called and said he got the check back because he put the wrong zip code on it and he resent it that morning. it is now 4 days later and when I try to call him his phone numbers that he gave us are disconnected. I am just sick, and dont think there is much hope in retrieving my money or getting my snake back.
If you have any information on this guy could you please give it to me.
I am desperate, we sold the snake because we really need the money.
Please help

im trying to make a few calls about this guy to find out what i can. i hope you get your snake back or the money atleast. this kinda thing disgusts me especially when its in my own state!

It's really nice of you to try to help....but you do realize the last posting is over a year old?

We think of this often, we contacted the police department and filed a complaint, they did go to the last known address of this creep, but no one lived there. They informed us we could sue him but we would have to go to Indiana to court. Even if the judge ruled in our favor, there still was no guarantee he would pay us, and as we sold the snake because we really needed the money, it was impossible to continue with a law suit.

Unfortanately we had to learn the hard way about how untrusting a lot of people are.

We made a mistake and have paid for it. I would love to find him and get our money, but i doubt that will ever happen.
