Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

As Scott stated above, I have recently conducted business with him and and I can say he is legit and honest. I dont know who this scammer guy is but I hope he gets what he deserves.
 
Yeah, Im 110% Sure that his real name is Dustin Drant. He is a scammer that was living in Florida, but recently moved to conyers georgia. There are other threads in the Fauna BOI under dustin drant aka swampbilly or cottonlover22. He tells everyone that he is friends with David Weathers and told me that David Weathers was supplying and keeping his venomous snakes for him. After he had burned me, I done some personal investigation and discovered a long trail of bad scams. I also personaly talked to david weathers along with the Florida Fish & Wildlife and found out that not only does david weathers NOT know who he is, but Dustin Drant has never had a venomous reptile permit in the state of florida. When I sent him a moneygram (because he requested payment in advance to hold my snakes), I sent it to his legal name Dustin Drant and he picked up the money at a Wal-Mart in Florida. This was back in late March, early April. At the time, I was driving trucks over the road so I was supposed to pick up my new snakes the following weekend at his house. When I requested his home address so I could mapquest directions for pick up, He stopped answering my phone calls or emails. Eventually he moved to georgia and changed his (girlfriend?) phone number and that ended all hopes of making any contact with him. I have recently noticed that he has posted other ad's on venomousreptiles.org looking for pygmy rattlesnakes, cottonmouths, and southern copperheads. He has also posted some Baby Red-Tail Boa's on venomous reptiles for $10 each (like that isn't to good to be true, right?).

Personally, I think this guy is a crack head and a loser who will get what he realy deserves. I have also reported him to the proper authorities, but I have a friend who works for a small police department in georgia and Im going to try to verify the address for his girlfriend Christine Davis. Either way, I will keep everyone posted on anything that I can find out on him. If I can confirm the address for his so called girlfriend christine, Im going to be driving to Conyers Georgia tomarrow to put this guy out of business permenatly!!

as a matter of fact I asked him what his name was and he said it was Dustin, I was supposed to have an anaconda and a retic today from him, but I know that inst happening now, but I refused to send money until the snakes arrived. Of coarse the snakes have not arrived yet, I just spoke to some one at his house and told them to tell him that there is no deal anymore after reading the last post on here. The guy is a scammer and even if he sent the animals after reading this post I wouldnt had sent him the money anyways, let him get a taste of his own medicine and from the sound of it he wont be taking care of any animals for quite some time anyways.
 
Glad to hear you didn't get burned, John. However, if there's anyone else out there that's considered dealing with this guy, try to give him enough rope to hang himself, LOL!
 
Im not stopping him,its as easy as emailing me the reference number for the wired money and I will even have the police pick it up just to confirm that the full amount was returned. I would even like to post up the emails I have but the are currently evidence and police property. Also I am not taking anymore phone calls as advised and like I emailed you,this can all be cleared up by tomarrow...its up to you.

Why don't you start signing your posts with your full legal name so that you can reply here. Did anyone actually get what you promised them? I sure smell bullcrap, but it's not coming from Scott.

Lets get this squared away.
Me and the gentleman spoke on the phone a few times and he agreed to wire the said money to me to make things quicker. It was getting pretty late when i went to pick up the funds from wal-mart. In fact it was around 8:00 PM. I had to pay bills so it took a little bit longer to get home. I was supposed to call him back when I got home to let him know it went okay at the store. I had gotten back to the house around midnight and the kids were still awake so i had to get them taken care of. I had forgot to call him back. After everything settled down I got online and checked my email. And he had contacted me wanting to know why I didnt call him back. he said he had contacted the police department and prosecute me. I called him up and tried to explain what was going on. Maybe it wasnt the smartest thing to do but I felt like I didnt know what to do. I called a few ppl the next day and told them what was going on. I felt like he out to get me. H probably wasnt out to get me but I felt like he was at the time. I had the snakes ready to ship. I didnt know whether to just ship them or send the cash back. Which is the question I asked a few ppl on here via telephone. And this will most definately be the stupidest thing I could have ever done. I realized that I spent the money to send back to him on bills. So now im trying to work to pay him back. He deserves his money back and thats what I will give him. he doesnt have to wait for me to give it back but I do hope that he will let me give it back to him as quick as I possibly can. If not for me for my family. i am the only one who works here and I have kids and a wife that depend on me. they shouldnt suffer bc I wasnt thinking and I took things the wrong way. I dont blame him for being angry with me. But it did hurt my feelings the way he responded to my untimely call. If he could forgive me for being stupid then that would be great. I never meant for this to happen. And I will do everything I can to fix it in a timely manner. I must not only apologise to the man that this regards. But to everyone on this site. I am not a bad guy. I am a little slow from a skateboard accident a few yrs ago. And I dont think right somtimes, but im not a bad person. Sorry again guys.
 
if all this was true, then why not send the snakes that were paid for in the 1st place? hell of alot cheaper for you than a sob story about making the money back..will be waiting to hear from you today one way or the other.
 
and let me make this clear to everyone here: the deal was I wire him $400 on a sunday afternoon so he could ship monday via delta and said he would call me back...went out of my way to get the money to him(which we all have bills to pay and $400 is not a drop in the bucket on any budget) so when I get no phone call hours and hours after sending $400 I sent his info to some friends in law enforcement to cover my a$$ "just in case" and emailed him just to let him know I did so....I get a phone call around 3am in the morning telling me the snakes will be shipped and other general BSing. Monday comes and no call ect..so at noon I call him and ask if there is a reserved flight or airbill#(which anyone knows you need to do a delta shipment) I get the my buddy is going to ship for me..so I ask does he have a flight reserved? a legit question since the deal was to ship out monday and something you would want to be on the ball on if you take somebodys money in a deal made online since failure to do so is internet fraud...well I got the run around,so I gave it an hour and tried to call back..because I did take the day off work expecting to pick up snakes at the airport...after trying to call back he wouldnt answer any numbers.....dustin has till the end of today to have money wired to me period.

Dustin, as the PM you received indicated, your georgiaherper account has been left open - use it (and get the name corrected).
 
Dustin, there's something you didn't address here. Did anyone to whom you promised animals get what they were promised? So far, there are at least 3 deals on this thread that seem shady at best.
