    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

No one is letting anyone scam anyone - which is the point of this entire thread. No one got scammed, no one should file. End of story. Seems pretty simple to me. Obviously the Fauna community is not okay with scammers, that's why the BOI exists.
 
just want to apologize for getting involved in a fight that wasnt mine. noone should get involved in something they are not in. hope you get everything straght J J and i apologize

this is what he wrote to me before even though i never had any contact with him at all, i just posted on here with my thoughts on how we could control scams a little better

this is the email i sent him that he says is a threatening email. i think it is very clearly not threatening. by law i am required to give out information known about a scammer so others will not get scammed.

Let me ask you somthing here and now. How and the heck do you think there is anything wrong with what I said? I was saying im not scamming you do to the fact that people think im scamming. And why the heck do you need my address? are you some type of wierdo? Im not giving my address out to someone when I dont need to. And pressing charges? On what grounds? No one scammed you. Seriously get real.

Yeah, it doesn't surprise me. Did anyone get what they were promised? Better yet, did anyone get screwed by this guy(hopefully not)? In any case, this thread will be here as long as the BOI to help protect future buyers and sellers.

A little(allot) old news I should have watched this post after my first post. No Dustin,Justin, whatever your name is. I still remember our phone conversation(for the most part). You had a 22 foot retic for a price (I forgot the pricing but it was very cheap for a snake of that size). You told me you was in Atlanta, My father was Traveling threw Atlanta during the time of our phone call. So I said I would call you right back, hang by the phone, At this point I called my father and asked him if he would pick up a retic, if I gave him the address and paid him back when he returned to Tennessee. He Agreed. So I called Dustin back he didn't answer at first. But I did get in touch with him(phone same day). I stated "since you are in Atlanta my father can come pick it up" (whom also is educated with reptiles and owned reptiles in the majority of his life time, so my father knows what he is doing). At this point you seems flaky about that, and Insisted you ship it for 100 $(shipping not including the price of the snake which I THINK was 300$) and I guess you would have wanted to pay via paypal you the cash ??? Or whatever you had planned. I didn't want to do that, I said "why don't you just let me(dad) pick it up it would keep shipping and hassle out of the way and he is paying cash he can come to your house or meet him somewhere" Then you got sketchy and said "Shane is going to buy it but if he doesn't you will call me". Kinda irritated at that point after you told me it was available and I can buy it now, You said it was "aggressive and wild caught" I guess detouring me away from the serpent? So I believe at this point (it has been awhile I don't remember what sequential order this went in so don't flag me here) you PMed me about Shane is buying it for sure, but you had a Albino cotton mouth(I believe) which on the phone you said was a venomoid. Then online you said it was venomous. Maybe I mis understood that part, regardless Venomous is illegal to own in TN without proper permits (a rarity to have even). I don't think a venomoid even would fly to well here either. Regardless you blew me off, and you started acting weird with me on the phone. I don't have any hard feelings. What was this 3 years ago? But yeah that is the truth I have no reason to lie about this. The point being as stated I was a legit customer offering to be at your house in 30 minutes or so. Paying you in cash. You blew that off to ship it. Knowing I wouldn't budge to ship. You said someone else is going to buy it, in that same phone conversation (we had two of them and a small chat online). I hate to stir up old dirt here but I couldn't let this pass. Shane is a friend of mine I have bought retic's from and he is a reverend(literally). He didn't get that snake you stated he was buying. I obviously didn't get it. Who got this 22 foot retic? Again I am not mad and maybe this is a mis understanding but don't try to twist what obviously other people have also went into with you on similar matters.
