In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Jack Hannah with cobra on Late Show

I think Bob needs to stick to handling pythons and Jack needs to stop bringing animals out of the zoo that he has no control over.

I just saw this video for the first time and was torn between lmao and my heart pounding for Bob Clark's harrowing experience when the cobra got a little feisty.

Incredible, I'd love to hear what Bob had to say afterwards!

What bob has to say afterwards????? Do you think he's going to just come out and say I'm a bumbling idiot with a death wish? Jack and I have no clue what we are doing and just made fools of ourselves and are lucky we did not get tagged??????? That we just made it appear that there are no responsible keepers as we are representing the industry on national TV and looked like like school girls playing with a gardner snake in our backyard.

It appears it was a void. Not that it matters. He still should have treated it as a hot instead of not caring if it got close enought to bite.
Its a venomoid, it wouldn't have mattered.

one drop of venom can kill an elephant?

they did the same thing you'd expect from the guys on jackass, literally. and what was with jack hannah, i thought he had decent experience and knowledge about animals? that's about as bad or worse than ANYTHING that's been posted on youtube. people are simply never going to accept reptiles it seems.

They made keepers look like incompetent idiots.
If so called "professionals" act like that, how do you think people will percieve the private keeper?
That performance did nothing to help the hobby and with all the pressure on the hobby right now, I wouldn't be surprised if that video just gave more ammunition to the anti-snake group.
Jack Hannah needs to stop making stupid comments (one drop of venom can kill an elephant) and void or not, Bob Clark was to nonchalant with the handling and let that thing get too close.

Just saw this one on FOX NEWS and this one I think is worse letting brian play with it........

Steve, are you sure it was a venomoid? Jack Hannah certainly didn't seem to know it.

Trust me when I say this....it was a venomoid. There is no way...NO WAY...that snake would have made it on the show if it were not.

I've been in show business my whole life. That's all you watched....a show.

They both knew it was a void. Jack just acted like an idiot around it. Bob was very lax with it because it was a void.

Jack Hanna's herp knowledge

I have forgotten more about herps than he will ever know. His shows and stints on Letterman are proof of that. Letterman even has a greater knowledge of herps! :bandhead0

Okay, that makes sense. I did think it was pretty stupid to bring it on the show. Now I am surprised that Bob would be part of the circus.

Venomous or not you still need a qualified handler for the animal. Honestly I dont think Bob had as much trouble containing that snake as it was prepared to look like he was. I mean you cant really predict what an animal is going to do, but he is more than skilled to have contained that animal without people jumping all over the place to save themselves. Ya know....but it gets the audience into it and keeps the ratings up.

Why would Bob be part of the circus? Notoriety? To be called one of the best herpetologist on national tv? Having your face on national television? Slamming drinks back in the green room with celebrities? 15 minutes of fame? Money? LOL. Sooo many reasons. No surprise here.
