I will attempt to keep this short and simple. If after reading, anyone needs to see further proof, like emails between buyer/seller, photos of DOA, phone records, anything of that nature that you would like to see, please feel free to ask and I will get that info. To each of you who ask personally, ASAP........
What happened here was a seller by the name of "jaminthecity", real name Jamarius Wallace, from Northern Virginia, sold and sent me 2 Nile monitor lizards and agreed to ship regular preferred method of FedEx Priority Overnight. After taking quite a while to actually ship, this guy put these 2 baby lizards inside of a cricket-keeper sized container(approx. 8x8x6) with zero support, no paper within this little section, allowing both lizards total free-play and the ability to flip around throughout transit and the possibility of getting injured... Surrounding this container was some newspaper and then the plain, uninsulated cardboard box to close around that. Zero heat packs even though shipping was from a cool state to another cool state. The air holes placed on the outside cardboard were gigantic, allowing huge amounts of outdoor air to come inside. Above all this, this seller shipped USPS Express, for less than half the shipping money that I paid in the first place!! To make a long story short, I ran to my post office and picked this package up before 10am, the second they arrived to my local USPS facility. Once I opened the package, I immediately noticed how cold it was inside! Both animals lay motionless, their bodies hard as a rock, very cold. I took all appropriate measures and after warming them up a bit, I came to notice how both had suffered easily visible back breaks, at that point, appearing in pain and not able to move the lower half of their bodies. By the end of that night, both had already passed away. I immediately contacted seller several times and stayed in constant contact. He has nothing to say to me and is now starting to ignore me of late. This is totally unnecessary, upsetting and wrong! He will Not give me a refund, or replacement animals shipped more professionally, nothing. His lack of maturity makes me even wonder if the photos sent to me before the initial purchase were fakes and perhaps the injuries occurred before shipping even happened, who knows?! Or... Maybe he abuses these poor little animals?! Guess we will never know! All I can do is make people aware. If anyone is ever unfortunate to come into contact with this newbie, I urge you to think twice. It's just not worth it with this seller no matter how good the deal is! Thanks everyone for your time and allowing me to vent. Perhaps some of you would like to send this guy a PM and see what he's up to! If not, I understand why you may not want to become involved. I don't expect to see him respond on here, simply because he is 100% wrong with this one and I don't think he is stupid enough to lie in this matter. But, by all means, if it makes you(my fellow helpers) more likely to believe and trust what I am saying is fact, total truth... Then by all means, let us invite that piece of trash on here and see what happens.
