I am in a better mood today and will try to explain my previous post to Sara, I was a bit blunt pointing out those IMs without explanation.

I pointed out a few lines from the IM you had with Mr Fuzzy-James-Furry-Retic, you may have only been responding to the "promise" you made to him about getting your money/items of monetary value, but in the context stated it looks to be a treat on this guys life. There are those who will see that IM as a threat to harm this guy. Then there are those that will see it at a "promise" to get what you wanted back, just with a bit of help from someone else. A person to person confrontation can sometimes render the desired results you want, but then again it can backfire too.

You stated this was a bluff, you got angry and told him things you now regret, we all have done that before. If you have an anger issue, it is best to learn to control it now while you are still young. In court, how would this appear to the judge/jury? They do not take bluffs lightly when it looks to be a threat. That "promise" can be used against you. I have seen threats taken lightly and even seriously, someone was hurt on one end or the other. If Mr I-Wanna-Scam-for-a-Living is taken to court by you and can convince he seriously feared for his life(he did call the police), then a lot of the time will be spent by you trying to back your way out of what you typed.

Yes this guy is a piece of work and it is a mistake for anyone to get involved with him. As DAND posted, get a hold of the police in his area and give them all the information. Not every police station is going to use Barney Fife to solve a problem, some police officers do not take stealing lightly and may be able to get this taken care of for you. If anything, they will be able to give you the proper advice you are looking for.

In the end, be careful next time and think before you type.

I agree, especially when my name is thrown in the mix, and taken as somebody in S.C hiding under his bed thinking I'm coming to harm him. I'm too damn old to go to jail

I see your point, But lets look at this in this aspect for a second, How many people have been ripped off and tried to take legal action and came out on top ??? As for me getting up on a soap box, You haven't really been around the BOI that long to even have a clue about me, I don't post just to see my name up in lights, I post because people getting ripped off is really hurting what this community is about, And before someone comes back with " Oh Bill Did This to such and such" yes I made a mistake and I still pay for it. But by that mistake I made it just strengthens my beliefs that if you make one mistake you are human, if you make a couple then you are a career criminal. All above is written with no disrespect, I'm just tired of seeing good people suffer.

I don't want to start a pissing bout with you. This is a part of my comprehension of the BOI,and even though i have gotten caught up in the moment a time or two.I don't find it conducive to this thread nor in having respect for another person or myself
And yes i do respect what you have to say ,but when I'm stabbed i stab back.But i am trying to make a conscious effort not to allow it to get out of hand.Even though my smartmoth tends to speak without my mind .I will state when im in the wrong.

As far as this thread is concerned:

FUZZYFRIENDS DID COMMIT THEFT and FRAUD.

Why i told Sara that she should wash her hands and walk away and write it off as a learning experience is this....

Even though she had a crime committed against her ,she was not an angel through out either.
She did make certain comments that would not put her in favorable light IF she pressed this to court.
She would be hard pressed not to have the defendants attorney turn the tables on her.
But she has made a concise effort to state her case and because she has been forthcoming of her actions and words,i can not fault her.
Another poster a couple of posts ago speaks about losing ones temper in situations that would have an adverse effect on them .So it is better now at a young age to learn how to deal with it in situations and not let it get the better of you ,for it will be a measure of who you are when you get older.

As far as the other victims of Fuzzy Friend.
They, so far as i can see do have a good case against him.If they keep excellent records and not get involved in any verbal alacations with him.And after all the proper legal avenues have been gone down.I see no reason why the perpetrator of these crimes,ie,Fuzzy Friends cannot be brought to justice.

I had heard the same but I am rather persistent and anal when it comes to keeping records (I still have the e-mails from the couple I mentioned even after being paid back in full) and I was able to provide this information to the authorities. I made it easy for them (even finding two other people who were scammed by this couple) to file charges and to finally find them guilty. It did take time and effort but there are two people out there who will think twice before trying to run a scam in the future.

I say go after James legally and teach the youngin' a lesson.

I regret it.

He asked me to do it before I even GOT the snake. He bugged me about it, and once I recived "her" and she was alive and in good health I said sure why not, so I did it.

He was suppossed to ship me an adult female ball python almost ready for breeding. It didn't bother me too much when I noticed she was in a box labled "Ceramic" with no air holes, because she seemed healthy. (By the way, he sent her while she was in mid-shed) She was smaller than he said, but that didn't bother me too much either since I'm not too concerned about breeding (I have an adult male) and I was just glad she was okay. I got a little suspicious because I noticed her head was small and she had a fat fat tail, but I ignored it because I thought he had her sexed. He told me she was a female and I paid adult female price for her. Well, today my curiosity got the better of me and I went and got her sexed. Male. Male male male! She's a male! I. AM. PISSED. This is not what I wanted and this is NOT what I paid for, so screw him.

Wow...this is the worst business dialog that I have read in quite a long time. I would never hammer out a business agreement through IM. The writting between you to is atrocious at best. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot and looking for retrobution. I am embarrassed to admit that I read the whole set of IM's.
James, learn how to properly ship legally before you enter into any more business contracts with other people. Do your home work and investigate all options before you make any more mistakes. Lacy act violations are very serious and the consequences of ignorance may be to high a price tag to pay later on in life.

OK, just got off the phone and this is the situation.

James is gone. He took off leaving all the animals, including me beardies, rats, balls, etc, without food or water until this weekend. Why this weekend? read on.
I spoke on the phone and Email to Mr. Jeff Wilson, Jame's Stepfather, and he in in TN at months at a time working with his animals. He is slitherinc.com. He hopefully will be home next weekend to make sure the animals James abandoned is alive and take my beardies back to TN with him on Monday and promises to ship them out to me Delta Dash.
None of the animals James has is his, they were all 'loaned' to James to raise up while Jeff is out of town as a project. James even traded away his pair of het Burgundies, traded in and out some het pieds, and sent me the only female balls he has.
If you had a deal go bad with James, he's MIA, email Jeff and he will try to make it right with you. [email protected], Slitherinc gets a Thumbs Up in my book.
I'll let you all know what condition i get my beardies back in.

oh, and Jeff confirmed that he *is* clinically bipolar and a rather troubled kid. But no one either has the money for his medication and they can't make a 22 year old take his meds when he doesn't believe he's Bipolar.

From what i have been told, James skipped town, left, basically is MIA. I'm not going to spend my time tracking him down while my beardies starve to death. That is my #1 concern right now, to make sure they are OK and get back to me so i can take care of them. I put my sweat and tears into my dragons and it kills to me think they are just sitting somewhere rotting right now.

It shouldn't be his responsibility to shoulder the financial burden left behind by James.

If Jeff can help by getting access to the account and help some people get their money back, that is something. I was not suggesting he take money out of his pocket. I agree that it is unfortunate that this happened and he doesn't have to help, but he is willing and able to.

I DID receive 2 ball pythons from James, but neither was 1000 grams like he promised. one was around 200 and one looks like a hatchling. I called him and asked what was up, and he said he figured one was a little under...!!! i asked him if 900 grams was a little, and he said he would make it right. he promised to W/U my money back and I told him I would return his baby snakes, but he insisted I keep one. No money, no correspondence for 5 days now, so I'm stuck with 2 baby female ball pythons.........anyone want to buy em???lol

How did you pay? I would talk to Jeff and see if he wants them back and refund everything or what. And the reason i suggest you talk to him is because all these animals are his, not Jame's.
He seems to have a LOT of '1000gram females' but he doesn't own a scale!

Most people either traded or sent money via paypal. Since he was unverified, all the money should still be in there.

The verification process has nothing to do with being able to take money out of the account. It usually means that his address is verified with a credit card, nothing more.
