In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm not on Dan's list but I'd like to think we're friends. As far as that wonderful man John, he's a bit crude on occasion, but his knowledge and animals are top knotch.
Had a momentary flashback there, but it turned out to be a bit of clam working its way down the ol chute, if you get my meaning. Poor tommy, he's not bringing even his C game anymore.

Yes. Probably one of the top people in the BP world but he's got more than a bit of attitude and is rather abrasive. I'd also bet based on the SS posted that the people involved were merely poking fun at each other.

The one about letting animals die wasn't poking fun though. I agree he does have an attitude, to the point of viciously attacking and degrading you over your thermostat choice, I personally don't like the guy or his friends but it seems Tom just lies in wait to attack anyone he can.
I can understand giving up when you find out you have cancer, that's a very hard blow, but he should have sold them down to a much more manageable level or asked someone to care for them not let them die. I read the post that first screen shot was taken from, he mentioned the death of the snakes (not how many though) at least twice.
I know. He's not the first to lose animals due to personal issues arising from grief, depression, illness, etc. Sadly he won't be the last. There, but for the grade of God, go I...

Every human can hypothetically fall into a state of reduced emotional and/or physical capacity. Until a person goes through it or has observed it closely, it can be difficult to understand. While it is still their responsibility to provide care to their wards, it is not a state that is reasoned into...nor reasoned out of. I count myself as fortunate thus far.

I haven't been here in quite some time, and am out of the loop. I do not believe, however, that John is one of the top people in the BP world. Having an attitude and abrasive is difficult to deal with, but the brand of humor in the "poking fun" is inappropriate for someone that is conducting business online. I have no problems with John. I have read many informative posts from him, and I love the way he tells it like it is when he sees something wrong. I somehow got added to several new BP facebook pages over the past year or so, and don't know how, and my timeline is filled with awesome pictures of amazing animals. With that though, comes a bunch of dirty DIRTY posts that would turn my attention to other vendors if I were in the market for a ball python.
