Not that it is relevant since having a kid is not relevant, but I have a godchild, volunteered my time to unofficially help with abused children in the distant past, and I happen to have a reasonably developed brain that considers that not everyone's thoughts have to be my thoughts and therefore one person's version of humor, however distasteful, may not align with my own sense of humor. I do not know the relationship between those two people. I do not know what the conversation was like prior to the snippet shown by Thomas Pecanic operating under the false name of Karen Davis. No friend of mine would speak to me in that way, but different people are different and plenty of people are, I would wager, quite different from me.

There is a morbid joke that asks what is the difference between a pile of dead babies and a BMW. The respondent says he does not know. The original questioner says there is not a BMW sitting in his garage.

I have heard that joke several hundreds of times in my life. Somehow, someway, it would seem that the joke tellers just might not be willing to put or keep piles of dead babies in their garages.

I am not taking up for John by any means. I am also not going to play into what appears to be at least a bit of a campaign here by a person who I do not find reliable in terms of accurate reporting in some instances.

The most recent post on any of those threads you highlighted was in 2012. I am sure that was accidentally cropped off though. Posts threatening children were seen last year. It wasn't until very recently that animals started dying due to neglect. The first post I saw from John about selling a fake het. was this week. I don't know what else is out there. These are just a few things that enough people I know posted on that they showed up in my news feed.

The one you spoke of is clearly a joke and set up a punch line, to come put and ask if you have kids and say you want to **** them before they even respond is just disturbing. If someone said that to me I'd be making a police report right away. Telling someone you're going to **** their kids isn't normal. Many kids are sexually abused by family, friends, daycare workers, baby sitters, even strangers. When someone says something so vile about someone else's child.. I'm sorry you may see it as a joke, but in many people's eyes that is nothing to joke about especially to a parent.

I did not say I see it as a joke. I said I do not find it humorous if you actually read what I typed, as reading what I typed is the fundamental first step to understanding what I typed.

The very nature of the one side of the dialog was intended to offend. On what level between two people who are not me and where tolerances for it end, I cannot speak to since I am neither of those two people. As such, I would not use it as a predictor to conclude that intending or willingness to act out the wording is the only possible interpretation of the wording that could possibly exist.

My husband has a friend who jokes and talks like that to people all the time. Most people are extremely offended by him but we know him well enough to know he is extremely socially awkward, lacks social skills, has the maturity level of a teen and really doesn't mean any harm by it. I don't know John or what his intentions are but without seeing more of that conversation it's hard to say he's a bad guy and meant what he said. For all we know him and that person joke around like that all the time.

That is the thing for me. When someone comes in with a "hit and run" fraction of a conversation, I am skeptical about why only a small portion of the exchange was shared. It leaves me with some skepticism until more data is made available.

John's words in that fragment of an exchange were not to my liking, but I do not know the full context.

John's neglect of his animals is not to my liking, but I have not fought his battle.

He is responsible for his words and he is responsible for his actions (or neglect through inaction), but perspective remains important to me.

John is laughing his metaphorical ass off right now, I have no doubt of it. I would guess, were I to be so bold, that John would tear to actual shreds anyone who did such things to a child on his watch. However, he's a first class ahole if you don't 'get' him; even if you do often enough. pecanic on the other hand, with his overt racial supremacy leanings, would surprise me not at all to be caught in questionable actions.

Crack one for me John, I'm laughing out here too.
