    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Make sure you get your money before you ship anything out to this person. On March 12th, Jason Hoffman ([email protected]) e-mailed me concerning an ad I had posted. He wanted to buy an animal from me and wanted it by the 17th for a presentation. He was concerned about not being able to send me the money order in time for me to ship.

Since he was talking about using it for a presentation, I offered to send him the snake (and give him $20 off the snake/box charges) and trust him to pay me. Well... I guess we all know what happens from there. The snake was sent out on the 16th and on the 17th, he e-mailed me and said he got him. Well, I still haven't seen my money. It wasn't a huge deal for me so I waited and waited. I sent Jason another e-mail on the 23rd asking about when he was going to send the money. On the 1st of April, I get a response saying is grandfather was ill and that he would send me my money shortly. Understandable but funny thing is that the money should have been sent out already by then.

Well, I still haven't gotten anything from him. It is now May. Remember that this money was supposed to be sent out back in mid-March before the snake was sent. It's not a huge deal to me. It was a little bit of money and he paid shipping on his end. But, everyone should make sure he pays you first before trusting him. I remember when we used to be able to trust people.

I have all the e-mails saved and all that... can post if needed.

A lesson learned.
I had a similar situation last year with a person that i chose to trust with a check. It's a shame that a few dishonest people can cause us to suspect first, rather then trust first.

Sorry for your aggrevation. You're a great person and did not deserve this kind of treatment.

Mike, I agree with you!

Paul, I think you should e-mail him a link to this thread.

Jason, I would suggest you use your head and make this right. Is your reputation worth a few extra stolen bucks? I hope for your sake it is.
