I buy all of my feeders from jay and have also bought a few animals from him. I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from him. Great guy, stands behind is animals! Top notch care in nice clean conditions!

Jay is the man hands down. I have spent tons of money with him and the animals are top notch. I have only ever had one problem with him. He is a Florida state seminole fan and we all know the Canes' are gonna put a whoopin on em this weekend. Overall, great guy and GOOOOOOO CANES!!!!!

Hopefully it's just one of those things that happens in life to screw up a schedule and he'll quickly recover from it. We'll see.

I too had 2 good dealings with Jay

The title says it all. I bought 2 Formosa cobras from Jay that he had advertised on kingsnake. The ad said they were smoking cobras and from what I have seen of formosa cobras at shows I am glad I purchased where I did. He didn't have shipping boxes which he didn't know until he went to ship my male so I got it a day late but after a phone call I knew this and got my snake as promised so no harm no foul. I was really impressed with the color of the female and he told me the male was an even brighter pinkish/orange and my eyes lit up when I took him out of the bag, he is a pimp to say the least. It also turns out from a good tip from someone else through some verification on my end they are possible double hets for leucistic/sunset monocled cobras that originally came from diamond reptile breeders. Once again thanks Jay, I look forward to more future transactions with you.

He ripped me off years ago, I would never deal with him or recumend him to anyone.

I had purchased a Dwarf Caiman hatchling from Jay, he told me he was hand picking these animals from Strictly, then he said to give him a little time because supposedly the Dwarfs Strictly had left didnt look good and he didnt want to send me a animal that wasnt in top shape, so I said ok no problem.

I had 2 adult alligators that he was interested in, one was 6-7ft and the other was 5-6ft, He asked me there sex and I told him one was female and the other I thought was a male but wasnt sure, he said he wanted them so I gave him both animals for $300 plus a hatchling Dwarf Caiman ... which was a steal on his part (literaly).

Now remember he already owed me a Dwarf caiman, so now he was going to owe me $300 and 2 Dwarf Caiman's because of the alligator deal.

He was getting these animals for a customer in I believe Texas, he asked me if I could send the animals directly to the customer, I built the shipping crate which was heavy duty, lined it on the inside with foam to help protect the animals and sent them off to Jays customer.

I sent the alligators before I collected any money or any dwarf caiman, I was talking to this guy on the regular, he already had my money for the first dwarf caiman ... and I had trust in him so I wasnt worried about getting ripped off, he seemed like a good honest guy.

Ok so .... his customer received the alligators but now still to this day I have never received the $300 or the 2 dwarf caiman

He just blew me off!! I bugged the crap out of him for some time and I believe I even posted here about him but the only responce I ever got from him was something to the nature of ... oh the alligators were both female and there backs got scraped up during shipping, its possible both animals were female (I doubt it) but its possible but he never said they had to be a male/female pair and he never contacted me or responded to my emails after I sent the alligators. There was no way the alligators arrived in bad shape because I lined the crate besides a few nicks and scraps are common to the head/jaws from thrashing but the backs?? (that doesnt even make sence).

Either way this guy RIPPED ME OFF BIG TIME and im still a bit upset about it!!

I also had a horrible experience with Jay. I bought 7 supposedly captive bred boas from Jay in 2003. They came in thin & with runny smelly stools. I told him about this right away. I took them to vet & wound up with one living out of 7. He did send me money back for 3 that died so with the shipping & vet bill he still SCREWED ME out of $245.00. The only reason I didn't post a bad guy post about him was we have a mutual friend but after seeing this post asking about him I feel I need to finally tell about my deal with him.

Donny - When is the last time you talked to him ? As far as Rainbowboaman and what he may or may not be owed that is his concern and between him and Jay and no one else. With that being said I only know Jay from the few times I have spoke with him on the phone and from my 2 dealings with him, which both went well. You are calling him out on here and my guess is he doesn't even know about this thread considering his web page hasn't even been updated in something like a year. Maybe he does though, I can't speak for him. I would call him and see what he is willing to do ( if anything ), but since it has been so long and you didn't keep up with it ( by your own admission ) I doubt he would be willing to do anything for you as far as your past dealing with him.

I don't feel strongly for Jay's position, I don't even know what his position is on this since there is not a reply from him, and what went on between the 2 of you is really none of my business, I am just commenting on what you posted. All I know is there is a lot of scammers out there on both the retail and consumer end. I am not saying you are but for all the people reading this know, you could be the scammer just trying to trash someones name. What makes me wonder about your story now is you say it slipped your mind over the past 3 years and I believe you said you would never do business with him again, but yet you looked here on the BOI for info about him ? How did you see this thread unless you looked for it ?

I was on BOI checking out a posting between Mike Roberts and Nature Coast Exotics. I deal with both of these companies and was checking out there situation after I looked at that I decided to look around on BOI and search a couple names, 1 of which being Jay Eaton.

Have you ever done business with Jay Eaton at Exotic Jungle ? It doesn't seem to me like you have and if you didn't you have no claim on here to call him a scammer.
