    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yep, less then 1/3 filed a complaint. :( It would have taken less than 5 minutes. All the information needed to file was posted here a number of times. It just baffles me as to why there were so few who filed. :shrug01:
 
And those people who haven't filed are probally the people screaming the loudest when a scammer is revealed..

I'm not an expert here, but It's my understanding in Florida, if you fill out all the paperwork, the state takes over, and issues an arrest warrent for deadbeat parents. I think you need to persue it a little harder. Good luck.

:iagree:That is what stage of the process I am currently in. Right now I'm just waiting for a court date. I was told to expect 3-4 months for one. Considering how slow Friend of the Court in MI is, 3-4 months will be rather speedy. lol
But don't worry, I will keep you all posted.:thumbsup:
 
Does anyone know where they are right now? At some point during all this they were apparently headed my way, to Texas. I had talked to some friends about an appropriate welcoming party. But I never hear that they were actually here, where are they?

They were not there long and are now in Indiana.
 
David, you seem to be keeping up with them and for that, the community here owes you thanks. I would appreciate an email if they ever return here. I don't know if I could succeed welcoming them in the way I had intended but I surely would do my best to do what I could.

I will be keeping up with them until I am satisfied that they have paid in full for what they have done. Were they to go to jail, lose their children, pay all the monies back to both families and be the recipients of a public flogging I still would not be satisfied. :toetap05:

If I hear that they are back down there again I will gladly shoot you off an e-mail my friend. :thumbsup:

Someone else actually was linking me to a scam email I'd received, thought it might be worth looking into.

Like I said, may not be much, but these types of things tend to get around, it might make it easier for others not in the reptile community to catch wind of it.

Glad you're back, Maggie, and we all hope that you and the kids are coping well with this anniversary...as well as can be hoped for, anyway. It's the "firsts" that hit me hard...with my family and friends. I'm sure you understand that.

I hope in time that you can the kids get to the point where the pain subsides and you can remember all the sweet, wonderful, GOOD times that you all shared with Chuck...and I hope that time comes soon!

I hope you weren't holding your breath on that one. No attorney would take this case, and even if Christina could find some ambulance chaser who would, my opinion is that she doesn't have the $50K+ they would require to proceed to court.

Most people think they can get attorneys to take their case on a contingency basis. They only do that when the case is a slam dunk and a LOT of money is involved. So they are likely quite unpleasantly surprised when the attorney requires a $10K retainer to even begin proceedings....
