Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Jeff and Christina Wise (Wise Reptiles) Stole Money from Benefit Auctions for Maggie

Has anyone informed Maggie yet that this is thread has new life again? Do we know if Maggie and Christine has come to a resolution or agreement? I'm more that willing to send the information to the local news but I am sure they are going to want to talk to Maggie. I want to get an OK from someone that knows her or from Maggie herself unless someone is willing to be a spokesman on Maggie's behalf then I will give the news and newspaper their contact info instead. Please let me know. I am more than willing to do 'this' I just need an ok from some one that is more involved with Maggie than I am. And when I say 'this' i mean I will contact news stations and newspapers around the Flint Michigan area or what ever area Christina Horn and Jeff Wise lives in.
 
Heard back from Jeff. He's made a promise to make good for me. We'll see what happens. I've already contacted attorneys local to him just in case.

Naturally, it was all Christine's fault, and now she's telling him things, but he'll be the bigger man and make it right...yada yada yada.
 
It's been going on for how long now and Jeff is all of a sudden is going to "make good"? Me personally, I don't like people who hurt, neglect or take advantage of women and children nor do I trust anything they say.

I want to believe Jeff will make good on this, since ya know, they STOLE from many members on here, and in turn stole from a grieving widow and her children, but I think we all know that's gonna be one chilly day in Satan's hood before that ever happens. :rolleyes:
 
I haven't talked to Maggie in a while and I don't want to bring this up. She's happy as far as I can tell and this would probably just open old wounds at this point. I too posted on ms. wise's personal and business page, linking to this thread and letting her know that NO amount of makeup will ever be able to hide the kind of person she is. I'm blocked now too.
Since no one has asked for my opinion, here it is. Let this simmer over the weekend and see what happens monday or tuesday. Maybe someone will hear from one of the companies they work for. It's been this long, let's not go rushing into things without forethought for possible outcomes.
They know we know again, let em stew a bit.

I really think this, or something resembling this, is the best option for now. It's been 4 years, they are obviously either the exact same people they were before (in which case railroading them and spam-calling their employers and friends), or they are reformed/contrite to a certain degree and may yet be guilted into doing the right thing, if only to protect their new circumstances.

Let it breathe for now.

Just addressing him being the "owner" of a business. (And I use that term loosely.)

I'm LMAO at Jeff. He's not an "owner operator", he's locked into a lease purchase, on a truck he will never own. The companies LOVE those idiots, because they get the maintenance paid on their fleet and then some, all while giving you the illusion that you're in control. How do I know? I did exactly that same route about 15 years ago and you lose your butt 99.9% of the time.

Someone might wanna send a tip to the IRS to keep an eye on him. If I were a betting woman, I'd have money on him not paying taxes on any of that revenue he's bringing in. Easily six figures if he's doing it right, before payouts and fuel and such.

Thanks for the updates to the thread. I'm among those who didn't donate animals to fund drugs and vacations. I'm still convinced that in the end, there'll be justice. Or at least some reciprocal karma. None of us may ever know it, but it will happen.
 
I know a nice little letter was just sent to his future wife and a link to this thread. Who knows maybe she will care.

Don't know if it will do any good but Jeff will know this will never leave him.

I did the same as Dennis with the same results. I suspect we two were not alone in our efforts and I highly suspect that this has upset the little world those two scumbags are tying to create for themselves. I posted on the trucking page in the middle of one of their threads and on her personal and facepaint pages. I have no clue what happened as I am blocked from all, but were I a betting man I would be several conversations ensued about the past of these ... people. So long as no one trying to help Maggie and Rick becomes a problem here or drags Maggie into it I think we should just go calmly about our business and whenever the ugly scumbag heads reappear we should, politely but in numbers as great as possible, let the world know what kind of people these are. If you're not blocked, go right ahead and let them know how you feel, but please, make no threats and keep it PG rated. We all look better that way and that gives us all more credibility.
 
One can only hope that karma will grant both Jeff and Christina new companions in life that they fully deserve.

Richard, what exactly has Jeff suggested, if anything, as far as a method/schedule for paying you back? Is he sending payments, writing a check, etc etc...? I'm curious what he meant, and how quickly he is moving on it...
 
Suppose to send a monthly payment and pay off in 5 months. Slow to start. Gonna remind him, and than find out if our chat message is as good as a contract so to speak, and go from there.
 
I haven't read all of the 270+ pages of this thread, but managed to get the gist of it. I was at the Michigan Reptile Expo in Taylor last weekend, and a few vendors had photos of Jeff and Christina on their tables, with the caption that they scammed money from a fundraiser.

Even though this happened 4 years ago, it's good to see that the reptile community is keeping this front and center, so people don't forget what those two did. I feel so bad for the intended recipients of the funds, and those who donated money and animals for the cause.
