Bad Guy Jeff and Christina Wise (Wise Reptiles) Stole Money from Benefit Auctions for Maggie

WOW, this is horrible! This has got to be the worst BOI thread I've ever read, and I've been reading for 6 years... I hope the money will get to the right hands somehow and that the Wise's pay... Big time.

this really sucks, I know from talk with officers and such that this is fraud, ( internet fraud), and the products/animals sold/auction off can be consider the selling of stolen goods if the donaters file a report.

As for the chase bank account the way it looks the 3500 was credited to the account ( the balance increased not decreased) So if that the wise's account then they cased the check into their account.( mabe they had the funds sent to them from paypal via a check ( not sure who paypal uses).

I am also wondering the winner of the auctions did they recieve the items they won ( only ready the first 10 pages or so ) Cause that would be another charge if they never shipped goods paid for.( This would be in regards to items they had in their ownship at the time) I know some had the auction stuff off and sent the fund to the account in question.

I was unable to help /bid on auctions since it befoer i was making any funds grass cutting so I prolly have no say in much about being pissed off, but I am.

I received the animals I won in auctions, and I definitely (much as it broke my heart to part with one of them who would NOT have left here otherwise) shipped out the ones I donated. The Wises didn't have their hands on any of these items physically, to my knowledge.

Not a very "wise" move. For people usually so outspoken for what's right, they sure are being quiet despite their claims of not being able to tell their side.

Hopefully the "brains" of the operation will see prison time , showing the circumstances surrounding it. This will calm the burning feeling on the inside of me to see justice done to scum of society.

*Let me preface this with this is NOT an "I told you so, to anyone." I am simply trying to outline how I arrived at my assumptions and I don't involve my feelings when I am trying to figure out things...just the facts (Chuck was a good example of logical thinking/posting skills; I loved reading his posts and sharpening my own logical skills.

I didn't have much to do with the auction except to make a "test" run to see if it was actually on the up and up...and the events that transpired drew Dean under my suspicion too . He was buying stuff like mad at rock bottom prices (nah, I ain't mad at him..just showing how my mind works).

To tell the truth, from the very beginning, I really did not like the set up. I queried Harald as to WHY would they set it up to get the money first instead of making the set up so that Maggie got the money and they simply ran the auction... (sorry the Business woman in me isn't about trusting "words" or people..I want it in writing! )

I also didn't say much when Ed was accusing the two of them, because even a broke clock can be right twice a day and I really didn't see why he would pull such a lie out of thin air...ummm Sometimes, it's just best to shut up when people want to see the 'good' in everyone.

Before I leave...to restate what I was saying in Chat: I don't think they meant well from the very first and got "tempted" by greed. This was a set up from the beginning. They are ignorant, but not stupid, they are more "sly and cunning." They came in spread flattery around..did a few good deeds to break down one's natural instinct not to trust a stranger and then set us up for the BIG take. Why do I think so? They have shown that they know how Paypal works, so they could have set it up not to get the money..the fact that they didn't and their technical skill (erasing their tracks) tells me this may not have been the first time that they have done such a con.

I'm considering taking a little drive to Grand Blanc to pay a visit to the 'objects' under discussion here and ask them what they intend to do about this situation (seeing as how I unknowingly helped to line their pockets too).
It's only about an hour from work.

And, on top of that, call his wife a liar???? She also lied and told my girls on the phone that she mailed them movies - you know how long they have been waiting for those???? Do you know what it is like when 6 and 8year old girls are waiting for something to come in the mail????????????

The other thing that gets me the most is that she pretended to be a friend.......she actually went as far as to say that she thought of me as a sister (the whole time Charles must have been looking down on me screaming NOOOOO) - but I was so devastated and fell for it all. She called 2 or 3 times a day - then when I started asking her about how much was collected, she would never answer me. Then I started seeing all these things on facebook about how much stuff she was buying, etc. and started to wonder and contacted DAND.

She called me one night and started freaking out saying that people were questioning her about the money and wanted to see paypal receipts or whatever and she said she couldn't show it to anyone because then people would see that they used some of the money to go to his aunt's funeral. I said, who cares, no one will care that you needed to use $200 to go to a funeral and she said she was giving it back. Then she asked me to say that she had sent me money orders and was going to get the rest of the money to me as soon as he got his taxes back, or out of her own check, etc. She also told me, I'm not sure if I said this already, but that she was told they would get banned if they mentioned people backing out of the auctions and that she couldn't relist them, etc.

It is funny that someone said here, and sorry, don't remember who, that Charles got another one..........funny how things work. He exposed them even without being here. I love you Charles.

Thanks everyone for trying to help. I work for an attorney, I'm a paralegal, but can't go to my boss about this and bother him, but I will be asking around as well to see what you guys can do. Technically, she stole from all of you, not me.

Benefit for chucks family 120w radiant panel/RBI/chris parmley/60.00

The auction price I paid was $60.00. I sent them some extra money as part of the payment. Wonder where that went............

After three weeks of sending them e-mails andthey finally told me I'd have to contact RBI with the shipping info. When I told them they were supposed to take care of that detail they said they would - and that Rich had probably lost the info they sent him regarding the auction.

Two weeks later - nothing. I called Rich Goldzung who promptly sent me the RHP.

Rich and I talked and he confirmed they hadn't contacted him. I told him I'd forward the Paypal payment info and he said not to bother - he'd take care of me.

Rich did what Rich always does - the right thing. I'm wondering if he ever received my money from ther Wises.

If there is nothing overlooked on the Wise's behalf (and it does NOT look like there is!!) I would like nothing more than to see them rot in jail and pay for what they did to Chuck's family....as much as I want to say, "May he rest in peace", how could I expect him to do so now??

While thoughts of no more freedom (well, at least a few years for felonies on a federal level) for Jeff and Christina Wise make me ALMOST smile, they are only thoughts of retaliation and revenge.

What I would REALLY like to see is all of us pitch in what we can and take care of the Chuck's family. I'm willing to get the ball rolling with a $50 donation. As much as I wish I could do more, that's about it; however, if everyone taking time to post will do the same (whatever amount you're able), we can probably do Maggie better than the auction would have....had she ACTUALLY GOTTEN THE MONEY FROM THE WISE'S!!!!!!!

I am sincere in my gesture and hope that it will inspire others to follow. I never had the pleasure of meeting Chuck, but from reading MANY of his straight-shooting, no BS posts AND from all of his obvious TRUE friends, he was obviously a sincere, GOOD GUY!

They may be "sly and cunning" in some ways, but if they are shopping for snakes (as shown by brd7666 in post #116), then they have a continuing interest in the herp hobby and this is going to follow them around for the rest of their lives. They may be able to deal with some unsuspecting newbies but a huge percentage of the herp community will now have nothing to do with them. Bad business move.

If they had done this charity auction for real, everyone would have worked with them forever in the future. I think "stupid" is more appropriate.

Was all this worth the money when they could have "bought" themselves credibility and admiration? Not to mention the eternal consequences if there is a God.... "Stupid" seems to fit these folks.

Everyone don't forget the silver lining: Maggie knows who her real friends are, we can see who the real heroes in this event are (the GOOD folks on the BOI) and with all the expertise of all the members in various aspects of the law and in ferreting out all of the evidence of fraud, justice will be served.

They may be "sly and cunning" but taking advantage of someone like Maggie and the BOI family is "stupid" in my book!

That accounting from their Chase account looks doctored as well. Notice the 13 day gap between the 3/15 debit card transaction and the check in question; their balance after the debit transaction is $3600, but after the check hits for $3500 the balance is $88.02 not $100.00 as it should be. Looks like she subtracted the previous $11.98 along with the $3500 which is incorrect as the previous balance of $3600 would have been the amount after the $11.02 was taken out and before the $3500 check was deducted. I guess she outsmarted herself in her bogus accounting....

Me and my kids are screwed and enough is enough. I cannot believe that you made me think you were my friends, nonetheless, like family. You need to send me at least $1,100 by Monday (May 24th) so that I can sign the girls up for camp on Tuesday the 25th. I will then expect half the remaining $2,800 two weeks later on June 7th and the last $1,400 two weeks after that on June 21st. The $450 you didn't send to Rick which he said to send to me will be expected two weeks later on July 5th. If you do not do as outlined above I will have no other choice then to tell DAND about you stealing the money donated for myself and my children. I am sure he will enjoy destroying your name and your business.

I helped Maggie compose that pm and you ignored it and then you started to try and turn it around saying Maggie was lying. Trying to gather support from other members here. You foolish little girl, you were not fooling me. Well I have a little advice for you. Here it is: Pay close attention to the bolded part above.
