    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Jeff and Christina Wise (Wise Reptiles) Stole Money from Benefit Auctions for Maggie

well in that case guess what, they rack up a whole hell of a lot of charges now. everyone that donated can file a internet fraud charge on them. there can be only 1 theft of charitable funds though and that will come along when they get all their charges. these charges will be multiplied 1 x everyone that donated. they could get a combined sentence which means under 1 sentence so the max would be 4 years but if the judge is having a bad day he might box car them which means run 1 after the other so for every count they would serve 4 years so 2 would be 8 and so on
 
Dave (DAND) I see you updated the tags, add the Lawn Care business name as well so if it's searched this thread will pop up in their search. Adding there location may help also.

Maggie, you need to seek a second opinion. No lawyer worth their salt would tell you that you can't sue. None. You can, you need to find the correct avenue to bring the suit.

The anguish that has been brought upon your family by these two totals more than the auction fraud. You have real damages here.
 
a law suit means you are suing someone for $, they cant be sued. we are getting them for criminal charges...

if you owe some one money they can sue you for the $ if you break in to someone home they are not going to sue you they are going to press criminal charges

there is no law suit here. if the Wises own nothing there is nothing to get. this is criminal charge only.

You sue for damages. For instance, slander ("Maggie is back on drugs") was mentioned somewhere in this thread. Libel, (showing a check that Maggie cashed but didnt cash).
 
Anyone.... OK, everyone that either donated an animal or won an action needs to start calling the not-so-wise's local police station daily. If they tell you there is nothing they can do call back the next day and ask if they have any more information yet and if there is anything they can do today.

If you feel like they are not being helpful ask to talk to someone above them. Whenever you talk to them keep a written record of what is said and who you are talking to. If you still feel that they are not taking it serious tell them so and ask for the contact information for the District Attorney or States Attorney.

Call your local police as well and get the ball rolling on them contacting the police in MI.

Let them know your not going away.....

I will be contacting my local authorities as well as the postal inspector here in Norman to file a complaint tomorrow. I am sure with as many complaints as the un Wise's get, someone is bound to look at this.

:iagree: but everyone need to contact the FBI since this happened accross state lines. the feds will hit them harder than the state. also if you hit the FBI first then after the state is done with them the feds will have at them.

you are right but in order to go after the suit you have to pay a lawyer. in the long run the lawyer is going to cost more then you will ever get from them. by fed law garnisments can take no more than 33% or a paycheck. by law the persons gettign sued dont have to pay no more than 10k on your lawyer when you win the suit. also the suit will slow if not completely stop the criminal charges

I did that this afternoon (IC3)...called the local PD and they asked that I call back in the morning to speak with a specific officer...which I will happily do while having my first cup o' joe!

Unfortunately I know it's not always easy to get the police to do their jobs and if offering them donuts doesn't work then move on to the District Attorney but document everything with dates, times and whom you spoke with.
