Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello all,

Sorry I haven't been around. Things have been very hectic.

I wanted to thank all of you so much for everything you have done. The girls started camp and they LOVE it. They are having the best time. They go to the movies, they are going to Sea World, which we never got to go to. They will be doing so many things and are there with some of their friends from school also. I cannot thank all of you enough for the smile that I get to see on their faces every day......I could not have done this for them without all of you. Thank you so very much.

I hope you are all doing well.
 
has anyone been contacted back by IC3 yet?
I was checking my email, in spam, selected all and hit delete (out of habit), I noticed one had a subject line of 'Federal Beauru of Internet Fraud Division' or something like that, all in caps. Did anyone else who filed get a similar email? I hope I didn't just delete something important on accident, I had already hit delete by the time I noticed it.

I filed with the IC3 and haven't heard a word from anyone. I'm sure the authorities must be working hard on this case with all the evidence they were provided with on a silver platter, the only thing missing was the coffee & donuts.

Check your trash folder... it should be there. Its never truely deleted till you delete it from the trash.
 
I'm not even sure they do. I got the initial email response telling me I filed correctly, the case number, and that the info would be sent to the proper agencies. Other then that initial email, I've had no further contact from them.

Seems like going to MI to file in person is looking to be the only way to get things moving any faster. I haven't given up on that idea either, just can't do it till the other field supervisor gets back to work.

with yahoo mail as soon as you delete it from the SPAM folder, it's gone, doesn't even go to trash (I did double check just in case). I'm going to assume then that the email must have truly been spam. The email with confirmation# came right to the inbox. thanks for the peace of mind guys.
 
No, no time for me. Not worried about me right now, just the kids. It's taking a lot of work with them, but worth every second (as much as I may complain)!!! They are going on antoher field trip today and friday is SeaWorld. My father in law is going to buy them their own disposable cameras so they can take pictures!

Thanks again to all of you. Camp is helping them more than I ever thought it would.
 
I apologize for being so late to chime in, but I wanted to read the whole thread before posting, since I didn't want to just post a repeat of what everyone else has already said.

Maggie, that is so wonderful to hear that the kids are having a good time! I hope that you can set aside some time for yourself and do something you enjoy as well.

I feel proud to be a member of Fauna, as I have seen so many wonderful people step up on here and stand up for what is right. :D

I really hope the Wise's get what they deserve!

I hadn't even finished unpacking at the show yesterday and I had someone ask me "where's the sign?"



Ironically I had a couple at the show looking at the sign and I asked if they knew of the Wises and they said no but their name was Wise. I asked if they were related and they said no. I of course said if you are and aren't telling me that I ask that they go and kick their family tree at least once for Maggie. I suggested not using the business name of WiseReptiles if the decided to take their hobby to the next level too.

well, the west coast was represented, thank you for the posters! I was amazed at how many people did know about this whole thing, and even more please with how many others asked to take a poster, and had me explain what happened. I even had one lady, new to the reptile field, ask if she could post the link on her facebook - saying at least her 60 friends would also all know (of course I said yes, lol).

Let's not lose steam, guys

Between the Taylor Michigan show the weekend before last and Cleveland this past weekend, I have informed quite a few people and intend to continue to do so with the show in Pittsburgh (Cheswick) this weekend. I really need to get my Facebook stuff up and going (I have 30 pending friend requests and numerous things written on my wall but I just haven't had the time to juggle 2 forums. I'll have to make it a point to update that soon. Note, if you have sent me a friend request through Facebook and have not heard anything back it is not that I have refused you , I just haven't logged onto Facebook in probably over 6 months. It is nothing personal I just haven't gotten to anyone. Rest assured I will be getting to this very soon so as to utilize another avenue to get the word out about the Wises)

Thanks to all who are keeping this going and helping to show these two for the pieces of detritus they truly are.
 
There is no reason that this post should be on page three. I've been reading since right after this all went down, and it makes my stomach turn to see what they did to the two families that trusted them! Shame on you Jeff & Christina!
 
Are these people going to jail yet? Its been weeks now. I now there is alot of complaints for the police to go over. But you would think just a few would get them arrested and the police could build the rest of the case while they are going to the four or five court dates they will have. I know these two think they got away with it. They have most likely done this before. This is so discusting that they are still free. Out there to do this to other people.
