    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

O.K. But I Still Stand Behind Jeff Barringer and KINGSNAKE.COM......And FAUNACLASSIFIEDS.COM for that matter......I've Been Booted from the Best.
I Keep a Kingsnake and Funaclassifieds Link on my Web-site...I humbly pay
my $250 plus to Jeff every Year. Faunaclassifieds never really made $$ to me. Have I sold Stuff through Faunaclassifieds "YES" Would I be a Paying customer "YES" But I can't seem to keep my Pie Hole closed, thats because there is so much Pie! Yum Yum..I do Have a couple of Ideas that might help.
(1) BAN ME TO FAUNAWORLD......A PLACE WHERE I COULD AT LEAST LOOK
AT STUFF ON THE SITE. A LESSER CITIZEN SO TO SPEAK.....HaHa.....Haplo Group J....With Polish Ancestry.....(Myself).....Or....Duct Tape.....:yesnod:

I was just called out on another post by Dan Graybeal for this post in which I had not posted to in over a year. Yes, I did recover those emails in which I sent to Jeff Barringer back when I was trying to plead my case with him. I had to spend over $500 to data recovery specialist to access my hard drive which crashed.
But, there were a couple reasons I did not post them. First, I received a phone call and was advised/instructed not to post them by someone here at Fauna. Second, even if I did post them they are only one way emails from myself to Jeff. Jeff never responded to any of the many emails I sent him. The communication was non existent! Third, no matter what I posted it wouldn't really have mattered. It would have been non productive. No matter what I posted the emails would have been picked apart, or I would have been accused of emails being not authentic or something.

At this point, I don't feel anyone has to plead their case when referring to any "Bad Treatment" they received at Kingsnake.com by Jeff Barringer. Just simply click on Search here at Fauna and type in Jeff Barringer. That's it!

This might lead people to believe that you were contacted by someone on the staff here on this site. I know I didn't, and would be VERY surprised if one of the moderators did. So please elaborate. Was this another member who contacted you?

I can sum the haters up in 14 words:
Broke terms of service; flew off the handle; bot banned; came here to complain.

I just figured I would chime in. I paid Jeff at Kingsnake.com for an advertisement and he did not give me what I paid for. I even emailed him and he didn't reply. I eventually got a reply from him and he gave me a refund because I called him out on what he did. It seems there are enough people who don't like the way he does business and I am one of them.

It is ridiculous that when someone comes out and says something negative about Jeff they get ridiculed for it. I mean isn't that what the BOI is for? It is for people to give their experiences with businesses in the reptile industry and if people keep turning things around then what's the point? I will personally never do business with Jeff Barringer again because of the way he does business, and I hope other people will realize that just because he has one of the biggest reptile websites that you have to do everything that he says.

If you read the entire thread, it starts off very reasonably. I don't think people automatically ridicule others just because they courteously but pointedly say something negative about Jeff, I think there is more involved. I would never ridicule the post you just made, you have every right to your opinion and you expressed it in a reasonable manner.

My previous statement was directed at the people who fly off the handle, get abusive, get banned then cry about it and try to make Jeff look like the bad guy.
people are well within their rights to post on the BOI and it sounds like you have a legit reason for not wanting to do business with Jeff. I will play devil's advocate and say he did issue you a refund though.
You seem to have handled your complaint like a civilized person, got your refund and just decided against doing additional business with him; nothing wrong with that, we need more people to handle things in such a way.
You are also right about not having to do what Jeff says because he has the biggest site; people just have to play by his rules if they want to post on his site; don't like his rules, move somewhere else, simple.

I have no intention of ridiculing anyone who says anything bad about Jeff if there is a legit complaint, so I apologize to anyone who may have taken my comment as such. I am just saying that most people who get banned and complain about Jeff because of their ban were asking for it.

It just gets old.
 
I totally understand where you guys are coming from, I also think there are too many people coming on the BOI blaming someone else when they obviously broke the TOS. But I have also looked at a few Jeff Barringer threads, and it does seem that people are almost afraid to say anything bad about him because they are worried their business won't do as well without Kingsnake. Fact of the matter is, he really is not pleasant to work with and I think more people need to stop defending him. He did give me a refund, but it shows a lot when someone who owns a business actually works something out. I try very hard to make my customers happy. If they place an order and have an issue, I work things out with them. It seems that Jeff just doesn't care. Just my opinion.

That is on them. Everyone has to establish their own priorities. Whatever you think of his rules, people sell a lot of stuff over there.

If you read some of the threads carefully, you will see that people sometimes say that he has a right to run his site the way he wants. And he does.

I think that if he says don't do 'this' and one does 'this' and suffers consequences, pointing out that the consequences and rules were known beforehand is not defending him.
I think sometimes people point out that 'if one can't stand the heat one should get out of the kitchen' as the old saying goes, is also not defending him but again pointing out that the rules are strict and the consequences swift and if it isn't your kind of place then leave.

I think if more people would post their feelings about the site the way you have, there might be a lot less friction. But when people start throwing disparaging terms like 'nazi' around (and you are not going that route) there are going to be some disagreements.
 
In my experiences with him, I didn't break any of the terms. He just simply did not want to face up to the fact that he made a mistake. Basically I called him out on something and apparently he had an issue with being wrong.
 
I understand that it is his website and his terms. He can do whatever he wants. But when you treat a customer poorly, they have a right to say something and they really should say something.
 
Hi Darien. Yes, this thread is way too long to go over everything. But, at least you got a refund from Jeff. He kept my money, and I never got anything back. His trademark is simply "non communication". There are so many people here like you said that are afraid to say something, because they are in fear that Kingsnake is the only way they can sell. That's a bunch of BS! Yes, I was ridiculed, heckled, ganged up upon for starting this thread. Makes you wonder what the motivation was for these people to defend Jeff B.,if you ever go back and look at it to see who those people. You may recognize some of the names.

At the worst timing ever, and the only time in my life it happened, I had a hard drive on my computer crap out. I simply wanted to prove to everyone that I was very polite with Jeff B. in all of my emails. That I did not curse, or fly off the handle and that I was very respectful. People were ridiculing me saying I made the story up because I could not produce emails. Then, people said if I did post emails they better not be that copy and paste crap, etc. So, once I recovered those emails I came to the conclusion that what was the point of posting them. That no matter what I had posted it would have been scrutinized, questioned, and ultimately would not change anything.

Yes, Jeff is very bad in the way he deals with people. I truly feel he has an account here on Fauna and defends himself, along with his groupies, for any threads posted against him. Its smart and makes perfect sense why he would. Its also silly to think that he doesn't. It will take too much needless time. But, you will see the same people that "defend" him and you kind of got a taste of that.

Also, Rich. Did you want to forget about your post. In response to your post. I apologize for not coming back to this thread any sooner, as I did not realize you had asked me a question. No, I was not contacted by you or any of your staff. I simply was consulted by someone else in Industry in which I don't want to get that person involved. The only proof I had was one way emails to Jeff, once I did finally recover them from a broken hard drive. Because, I was never to replied to by Jeff B. with any of my responses via email. I just wanted to clear that up. See post #193 above for my explanation on why I did not post them.
