    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

To begin with I told this guy (who I think is a kid) that I was going to post this on him because of his schemeing ways. Well he has a 2ft long female cinnamon listed here for trade under the name "ballpythonbreedermd" so I offered Jeff a trade for the cinny girl and he agreed. I emailed him my references because I couldnt find anything on him here so he agreed to ship first reluctlantly. Well first of all he didnt know how to ship so I took some pics of a shipping box about the size I usually use poked holes in it told him how to bag the snake up and put some crumbled up newspaper in the box to keep it from shifting around, I told him to have it arrive by 10 am and gave him my account number so I would be billed for shipping, and I was also paying shippping when I shipped to him. He then asked me if I thought 2 day shipping would be OK, I told him absolutley not so he told me on the 11th that he was shipping her out on the 12th (of this month) so I said OK then I took the day off work on the 13th to wait for her because we were having some abnormally cool and rainy weather that week in Ohio so I get an email on the late on the 12th that he couldnt get her out so I had to take the day off of work the next day oh well. Then he asked (which was fine) if I wanted her shipped out on that Thursday I told him no that I didnt want her to be lost in transit and be out there all weekend so wait until that following Monday the 18th because my wife is home on Tuesdays. Well of course I get an email later that day I cant ship her out until tomorrow the 19th which will make her arrive on Wednesday the 20th so I take another day off expecting her. So I waited around until 1pm eastern time and asked the delivery driver what time it was supposed to be here he said that the shipper didnt specify a time. So I get the package open and to my astonishment it was a normal female (I will attach some pics at the bottom). I emailed him immediatley and asked him if it was some kind of joke. He replied send her back I will sell her to someone else, then I told him I would send her back after he pays for the shipping that Im being billed for. He then emails me again stating that the pet store he got her from said that she was a cinnamon pastel, that there gave me another clue that hes only a kid. So all these emails took place on the 20th so then on the 22nd I get an email stating that he sent me the wrong snake to send the normal back and he would send the right snake. And as you will see from the pics they look nothing alike there was no possible way to make this mistake. But I told him that I was born at night, but not last night so if he paypaled me or send me a money order for the shipping then I would send his snake back if not then I just paid 57.00 for a normal female about 300 grams ( not the 500 gram female cinnamon as advertised). So I would not advise anyone to do business with this kid hes a hassle and is a scammer. Hope this helps

Those are not even the same snakes. Do you still have the email exchanges you could post?
