    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This morning I took delivery of a beautiful yearling Fine Line female from Jeff Ronne, aka The Boaphile. She arrived in good condition, well packaged, and happy to do be done with her trip. She's everything I expected and more.

Throughout the transaction (which took quite a while as I took mine time making up which animal to purchase), Jeff provided excellent customer service and had an extremely friendly manner. His post-sale service has been great as well.

Jeff is already well known as one of the biggest breeders of boas in the US, but I just wanted to say that he took the time to make my boa buying experience great, and I'm just a little guy. Right on, Mr. Ronne!

I agree!  Jeff is the best.  I have never had anything but good experiences with him both though purchases and with my incessant questions.  Speaking of questions, Jeff, Where's my interview! ;-)

Jeff is one of the nicest people in the business. I just got a male anery boa and a female DH for ghost boa from him and they are 2 of the best looking boas I've ever seen. I use his sweater box racks and they are awesome as well!
 
I"ve been talking to Jeff since about July of 2,000....
One of my boas came from him later that same year and I was extremely pleased with his attention to detail, follow up call to make sure I was happy when the boa arrived (he actually called before I even got home from the airport with it)
And he's been helping with my questions on the 7ft pair I'm trying to get my first litter from....

  Great guy, sweet animals.. or as he says.. sahweeeeet!!

I agree. My little baby double het ghost came in the morning of the 16. I was very impressed by her. I spent a great deal of money on this animal, more then I have ever spent on an animal and the transaction went very smooth and I felt very comfortable doing business with him. I would for sure buy from Jeff again. In fact I have been bugging him for a baby albino <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> Thanks again Jeff!!
 
I recently purchased 2 adult female hypos from Jeff & then whole experience went flawless. He was great to talk to & Its nice to get animals in that are actually larger then what your expecting.
 
I must agree. I will always buy animals from Jeff. He has great animals and wonderful customer service.

I have not bought any animals from Jeff, but I have spent several thousand dollars on their Boaphile Cages in the last year and could not be happier.

Communication, shipping, the product itself has been outstanding. With my last order from Jeff I finally have my entire snake collection switched over to nothing but Boaphiles. My herp room looks great!!
 
I just cant stand the lack of respect he has for his customers and other caging companies. He has to be the most irrogent person in the reptile world. Just take a look at his ads on Kingsnake, they make everyone look like they are trying to be him.. I have delt with him and was totally unhappy with the whole transaction.. I for one will NEVER drop another cent with Mr. "I am the man and your nothing" Ronne, or his little "mini me" sidekick Joel.. Deal with someone who does not treat you like your just ruining their day by having a question... Want a caging comepany that will talk to you? goto www.animalplastics.com or www.nsreptiles.com for racks.. They will treat you right and dont think their poo does no stink.....

My experience with Jeff

Can't say much for communication since it took over 3 months to get any contact from him. I tried from the middle of Dec 04 till March 05 to get ahold of Jeff about one of Pastel het albinos. By the time I got a response the animal was sold. I picked out another and the same thing, no response to e-mails or phonecalls. I finally decided to just send a money order to Jeff with a note explaining that that I was not getting any responses from him and which animal I wanted.
Money in the mailbox and I get an e-mail. Jeff did apologize which was fine and let me know the boa was mine. When it came time to receive him I was pretty disappointed. No heat pack and the temps were still cool and the boa was much much smaller than I expected. At 2 years old the boa was 30 inches long. I have yearlings at 4 feet . The pic on his site said 30 inches but it had been posted for quite some time. I would have expected it to grow some since it was posted on his site .I had to put the little guy under the heater vent to warm him up. He is a great eater which isn't suprising , he was HUNGRY. I've been told over and over and that I would be impressed but to tell the truth it was more of a let down. I'm not saying Jeff is a bad guy but I was not impressed and I doubt I'd go thru all the trouble and hassle to buy from him again.
Yes i let him him know the animal was cold when I got him but no response to my e-mail AGAIN and if it wasn't for his " stellar " reputation I wouldn't have sent the money without talking to him. Guess I set myself up for a let down.

Same boat for me, I have been trying to contact them for weeks now. I wanted too reserve a pastel het albino and an albino, while I waited for the rack I ordered to get sent.

No reply, not even on "the boa think tank" I have left 3 messages on Jeffs line and one on Joels, with numerous e-mails to both.

there goes the idea of a package deal, He also states on his site, that if you contact him he will let you reserve animals, the trick is to get ahold of him.

It is true..........If Jeff has an weak area.........It's his response time. I think the world of the guy. But, his response time has something to be desired. Personally, I think it's because he wants to have his hands into everything. (Which is a good thing. I am sure I would be the same.) But, his response time needs a little work. I think he should enlist someone to help him in this area. He has "helpers" with the cage side of things. It might be time to do the same on the boa side.
Other than that.........I can't say enough about him. His animals are top notch and healthy. And, he stands behind his animals. I will always buy from him.
Sorry you guys had to go through that. I've been there. I feel your pain.

JEFF IS CURRENTLY OUT OF TOWN

If Im not mistaken, for the last few days and another few to come (Id say till approx the 18th of MAY).

I sent him out a boa on trade last week, and I recall him saying he was going to take a much needed vacation.
 
I sent them about $1600 two weeks ago, and never received a confirmation like I had asked for. I just got an email back from Joel saying that he hasn't seen my order and that Jeff will be out until Tuesday. This is my fourth order with boaphile plastics in two years, and although I'm used to it taking a while to hear back from them, this has honestly been the most distressing order so far. I started with their racks because they appeared to have the quality I expected, and to switch now would be a royal pain. I guess we'll see what happens. I understand needing a vacation, but lining up the proper coverage before you leave would make the return a lot easier if you ask me.

It seems that when you finally do get a hold of him, the item you bought is good, but man, he needs to start responding to people.

Oh, how true that is Steve!
He has decent cages, but the customer service side stinks in my opinion (and others).
 
I tried to buy from him when I was in the market for a BP rack. I never received a response and I am happy I didn't. I ordered from Animal Plastics and they rock! Ali, Mark and the entire crew over there treats every customer like gold. Jeff Ronne may have great animals and quality racks, but customer service is a big part of the game as well. He needs to brush up on it..

He is not responding because he could care a less about you or your business. His sucess has gone to his head and now he thinks he "owes no man". His animals honestly are not thst great in my opinion, I see tons of animlals out there that are so much nice, priced lower and the breeder will answer the phone/email...

Matt, you are dead on there! With so many quality breeders to purchase from, why spend our hard earned cash with someone who really couldn't care less.

NERD, 8 Ball Pythons, Top Shelf Exotics, Alex Hue to name a few US breeders (not to mention Jeff Favelle, Corey Woods and Tim Cranwill in Canada).
