    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Jen a call to his First-Shirt (1st SGT) should get the ball rolling for you- as per military- he's REQUIRED to support you especially if he's getting paid to do so... the Army is bigtime into enforcing this.

I don't get what you're asking? If you're asking how I fed them prior to this, it was simple -- I had plenty of money before my ex screwed me over. Now, I don't.
 
What I was asking has been answered.Aparently you have a stock pile of frozen rats! I simply wanted to know what the snakes would be eating now if they weren't about to be put down, since you have no money. That's all.
 
I tried 4 times in the last half-hour to post my response, but the site was down or something. Provided that Dr. J. doesn't get back to me about wanting any of them, the bodies are being burned at my friend's farm.

Sorry, but I think it was extremely rude of you to ask her how she expected to feed her snakes when this whole thing with her husband just happened. Don't you think she's been through enough? At this stage, what does it matter?

I was just wondering if these snakes would be starving if they weren't waiting to die. Are they starving now as they wait to die? Can none of them eat? Immediately after I posted, I mentioned in chat that I felt I should send money to help out whether for food, for help in puting them down, or whatever. I wasn't being rude, I don't want the animals to suffer any more than they have to. Thanks.

They aren't starving, they've been on maintenance-only feedings for the adults for 2 months, and regular 5-7 day feedings for the babies and kingsnakes. None have been fed since the beginning of July due to what kind of position I'm in, but that hardly constitutes starving -- they are ball pythons, they can go a couple weeks without a meal, especially if they were of a healthy weight beforehand. Do you really think I'd be that cruel?
 
I'm not sure why anyone is busting this ladies chops. She tried harder than a lot of folks would ever have to save these animals. She has lost and lost and lost and lost. From everything from her hobby to her personal life its obvious she has lost. Give the lady a break and let her commence with the difficult task of what she has to do.

If you are in a position to help her then just help her. If not....then the STFU.

If anyone needs someone to kick around I think it should be that no good SOB Wyatt.

I agree with Bill 100% and then some =) This girl has done more trying to help these snakes then a lot of us would have... and at her own expense for the most part. Most of us if not all have benifited from learing from her outcome. Weather we admit it or not.
On top of that she is a person who stood up for all of us and served this country lets not forget that. Right now the last thing she needs is a bunch of "back biters" and disrespect and you know who you are as anyone can read the post and pick you out!!!! I know some have good intentions in what they mean. Even in some of these harsher post. But really all this girl needs is a 100% support from everyone right now =) If you can't manage that then take Bills advice!!!! For those who have supported her keep up support :)

Maybe this will get wheels truning.....We can't take the actual pain of losing the snakes away but the pain of $15,000 in vet bills!!!!We all can help her with that!!!!Theres no reason why this has to end on a bad note all the way around. Lets all pull together and help this girl stay on her feet :thumbsup:

I agree with you John, Jenn's been thru hell. I do not know her or ever had any contact with her. If she will post her e-mail address I will paypal $100. to help her pick up her life. Maybe some of the others reading this thread will find it in their hearts to help out. It's really sad when somebody tries to do things right and gets kicked in the shins. Even $1 will help.

Can you set something up with your vet so if people want to help you out they can send money to your vet to help you knock down these vet bills? I'll be more then happy to help ya out on the bills end but like John said above I think more people will be willing to help after some proof is shown that snakes have been put down and racks have been destroyed.

Please ask Dr. Gordon contact me for more detailed instructions. We are rerunning samples this week from two of your snakes that were sent to us by Dr. Gordon. We are still trying to get an exact identification of the virus. In looking at an old case of IBD in a boa constrictor from several years ago, I may have found a similar appearing virus in the kidney of that snake. Possibly the virus in ball pythons originates from boas with IBD? Just a guess since until we can develop molecular tools for identifying this virus we can only guess.

Currently we are doing this work with minimal amounts of research money. I have a small amount to devote toward this work but unfortunately research money for such studies are not plentiful.

CO2 is not recommended for euthanasia in reptiles. Reptiles can go anaerobic for extended periods of time. I typically use a concentrated euthanasia barbiturate solution and dilute it 1:10 and inject it IP. When given IV it causes certain undesirable changes in tissues for histological evaluation. Once the snake does not respond to a painful stimulus such as a crush of skin with a forceps, I severe the cervical spinal cord.

So, I am having Dr. Gordon prepare more samples to send to him to work with. They need more research money to do it -- and considering that this is something that benefits everybody in the reptile industry, especially ball python keepers/breeders, then I think this is where your donations should go. My vet bills are my responsibility -- I chose to do the tests that I did, so I have to figure it out. Aside from that, I don't even know the final total from Dr. Jacobson yet. I only know what I still owe Dr. Gordon.
