Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

....from Jeremy Stark, inquiring about a couple of my snakes.... I emailed him back and told him that his offer was accepted, and he can PayPal me.... he emails me again, to tell me that he wants other snakes also, and would I call him (816-833-4102), which I did.... he sounded very sincere, and we agreed for him to purchase four of my snakes, for a total of $515 shipped.... He told me that I would have a POSTAL MO today via Next Day Air.... well, when the mail showed up and his MO was nowhere to be found, I called him at the number above.... his MOTHER answered the phone, she proceeded to tell me that Jeremy is a scam artist and thief, and has STOLEN numerous snakes from other people, too!.... One name she mentioned was "Shaggy", out of NY!.... She told me to STAY AWAY from him, and that one of these days, somebody is going to give him the DESERVED beating he's earned!.... Now, granted.... I'm not out A DIME or any snakes.... (I'm not that stupid).... this is basically a heads-up for anyone else out there who MIGHT get an email from this kid (he's 24).... RUN, DON'T WALK!!!

I received an almost identical email from him on the 4th as well.
He wanted to purchase an animal and stated that he would be sending a money order out 1st thing Monday.

Luckily for me, my response to his email bounced back from AOL and I never heard another word from him.

Young Mr. Stark has been a problem for a while. Shaggy was completely taken for LOTS of money by this kid. I offered to go see him for Shaggy (who is a friend of Vinnie Ritchie in N.Y., whom I know), but Shaggy said he would take care of things himself. Cool enough.

I would stay away from this kid at every possible opportunity!




p.s. I guess that just shows how weird some people are, especially if their emails are full of CAPS and excessive usage of punctuation, Huh Neil?!?!?!?!?

Hey everyone,

SELLER BEWARE IS RIGHT NEIL!!!!!!!!!

I see our friend Jeremy Starks doesn't learn his lesson. After scamming me in October of 2002, he then went on to have problems with his girlfrienf JANIS in KS, and got his butt kicked back to mommie's house in Independence.

I was contacted by Jeff Kowalsky of Exotic Equatics sometime in December when he tried to scam Jeff out of some Large Tiger Retics. Luckily for Jeff they were shipped to the girlfriends home AFTER they had broken up. Janis then promptly shipped Jeff his animals and he was out a few bucks for shipping. He got off easy.

For those of you that don't know this extreme drugy, here it is. He's a 24 yr. old addict that gets methadone treatments DAILY. His little brother sells "POT", him and his parents are heavy drug users and he runs these 'send me your animals and I'll send you money scams' at any sellers on KINGSNAKE. Beleive it or not, he probably doesn't even know about this site. Thank God!

He never has money, he lies, he cheats and he's a punk!!! Confront him about any of his lies and he throws a "toddler-tantrum" immediately. And according to his X-girlfriend he's a skinny twerp that's terrified of going to jail. Oh yeah, he even has his familiy cover for him whenever he screws up, .....how fitting!

Stay AWAY FROM JEREMY STARK. A little bit of faith will screw you royally!!!

I am very tempted to take Darrin's up on his offer. This kid won't stop til somebody teaches him a lesson. And eventually someone will. Bet on it.

As a matter of fact, DARRIN when you read this drop me an email so we can talk.

Shaggy.... Here's the funny part, and why I was so "amused" by all this.... he never ONCE asked me to ship the snakes first (like I would have anyway!)!!.... He actually called me to BUY the snakes and said he was sending a postal money order out the next day???.... We even negotiated the price!!.... I just don't get it??.... As I said, I'm not out a penny, but, what was the point of all that??....

I keep a seperate folder in Outlook Express for inquiries and, sure enough, he contacted me a couple of months ago too. The little weasel gets around doesn't he?

As I read your post I gave it some thought. I know of one other person who sent him animals with a 'check in the mail' promise. There are those whoelsalers and jobbers who would love to get rid of certain overstock and could easily be bated by our buddy Jeremy. Since it has worked on a couple, I guess he figures he'll keep trying until it does again. I mean, he must have made at least $1500 on the street with my goods and that alone will make a 'jobless drugy' adopt this as a new hobby!!! LOL
But as I said before, he'll be busted sooner or later, I just hope no one else get caught.

On a political side note:

I don't normally get involved in the by-law BS of Repltile Classified Giants but, i think it's absolutley moronic not to have a BOI or something similar on one of the largest reptile sites in the world!!
I mean jerks like Jeremy would be out of business in a week if such a board existed on KS.com

Don't the pros outway the cons. Wouldn't many sellers be forced to conduct themselves more accordingly if EVERYONE could voice their opinion. It isn't a perfect solution, but how many Jeremy's would get shafted, how many bad jobbers would be put out of business, how many 'mom and pop' companies with bad husbantry and sick animals would be forced out of the hobby, how many dead aniamls would still be alive today if bad shippers never had anyone to ship to!!

The truth is that KS is as big as it is largely in part because of the BOI. Think about it. If no on had a voice and bad business pactices went 'unheard' and 'unstopped', how many times would people let themselves be taken. How long before there was no trust, no faith, no profit being made and no money to start this expensive hobby all over again. How many breeders have saved thousands of dollars by just reading a number of posts on a buyer/seller. The BOI can make or break you as a business. But it ultimately protects the hobby as a 'whole'. And that's what really matters.

Anyway, maybe I'd still have a KS account if the by-laws allowed me a voice when I got burned by one of it's patrons.....it's not like I paid for my damn account, right?!

Oh well, that's my 2 cents. Hope I didn't bore anyone?!
