    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i had requested a shipment through ship your reptiles and thats through ups, harold then sent me an email and said he only wanted fedex, he had stated that earlier and i overlooked it, there is no blame on harolds part and i admit that i am 100% at fault. i have only shipped a few reptiles, im 22 years old and trying to work my way into the reptile business. heres some verification of my name and the snake. and the female i sold to andrew zembal was the the high white female that i sold to him through a wanted ad.

Jerry, why didnt you explain to Harald that you could not ship via Fedex instead of ignoring him. I think Harald is pretty fair and would understand that you are not a verified Fedex shipper. He may have cancelled the deal right then but, at least you would not have this thread looming over your head and Harald would not have had the aggravation that this transaction caused him.

What kind of substrate are you using there, looks nasty!
 
i honestly didnt know that fedex required a permit # until i arrived with the snake and was denied shipment and then i stalled on the shipping and got myself screwed.
 
You have very eliqently explained everything I know that I would not hesitate to send you thousands of dollars as I trust you completely as you are so well spoken and your animals look so well cared for.I mean clean water no dirt on the rack well done.

I fully understand this as I am still working on becoming Fedex certified, however, when you realized that you could NOT ship this way, why not explain that to your prospective buyer so they could then make a decision whether or not they wanted to continue buisiness with you. Communication is key here Jerry and you certainly failed in that skill with this transaction.

Another thing that I do have an issue with is why not communicate to PayPal as well by going ahead and making sure the purchaser received their funds back in full promptly. If I have an issue with PayPal, and it does happen to everyone, I make sure that I help them however I can to make sure the transaction goes smoothly.
 
to everyone hating on the setup, she is in shed and i have her moist bedding for today. i guess helping an animal that is shedding is such a bad thing?

Jerry, next time just take her out of the tub to take a pic of her if you dont want to subject yourself to the critics of your peers;)
 
The real issue here is the fact herold was sweating bullets because the lack of contact.All any one wants to know is why you did not keep contact with the buyer.Your animal looks fine and I bet he would of loved to have it.If you are new to the money side of this hobby then keeping your costomer is the first priority .As well as making them happy.A thread here could of been bypassed with a small effort on your side.Now this will be here forever silly if you ask me.Now people will read this and cast doubt upon you.Every one has a cage out of order every week no big deal.You are young and can learn from this if you listen and learn.

Aiding a snake via misting/soaking etc isn't a bad thing but I wasn't just looking inside the cage but also at the racks. Posting a photo like that you should expect some scrutiny. :yesnod:

As I stated earlier, the whole reason for the existence of this thread was your lack of communication...even as a new seller, common sense should tell you that you don't take a customer's money, then cut off communication.
So, why did you not ship her once you provided me a tracking number? By that time, you'd already missed a couple of promised ship dates...why bother to send a tracking number, then not follow through?
Also, why screw around and keep delaying, as opposed to issuing a refund? It would have taken you all of maybe 20 seconds to process the refund through PayPal...but you chose to make me wait for my money.

Anyway, thanks for the reminders - I did make some bad decisions...
I paid before you answered all of my questions. Lesson learned.
I took a chance on a new name. Lesson learned.
.....I won't make either of them again.
 
Damn Harald, no breaks for you, eh? LOL Your day has to come sometime.

Glad you got your money back, even if he did make you sweat it out. Just that fact alone would be plenty enough reason for me to not deal with him. He never did refund you, he let you do it all. Same as stealing your money in my eyes.

Don't be hating on the little guy though. We ALL were little guys at one time, some of us still are. ;) Make them talk a little longer next time. A chance for their true colors to show before you send the money. (you know, that stuff that you already know :>poke2<: )
