    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I just want to know all of you who have dealt with Mr. Tubbs and have not either recived your money or animal. What did you do? Have he been convicted of mail fraud yet? Also please let me know what you ould do if he owes you money. Right now I have hired an atterney to see if they can do something ( considering I get free atterney from my college).

John and Neil, Winston is a real person. His last name is Tsai (sp)..So he isn't try to start crap I don't believe. I will say I owe him and offered payments at first ,but he wouldn't except.He also didn't meet the deadline for the price that was given to him,but I guess that is besides the point.

I'll try to make a long story short.He ordered a lot of 10 bp's for 100 bucks . He received them and was happy. He wanted more and ordered them a few weeks later but was told I only had a few left and it was first come first serve .By the time I got his MO ,all was sold. When I told him I didn't have them anymore he told me he would wait awhile to see if I could get more in. Well after a few weeks I couldn't so I told him and he said he could wait until this spring IF I gave him the same amount for the same price and that way he was already prepaid for that many.I said yes we could do that.Yet in another couple weeks he wanted to see about a refund ,so I was upfront with him and told him I didn't have the money . He said ok how long do you need ? I told him since it was winter (no work for me ) and I had already prepaid his order for this spring to my supplier , and I was going through a problem ,that I would need untl Feb. 15th...... I emailed him today and updated him on what was going on and my accounts(financial) are froze. So I offered his refund again and told him it would take me a couple payments to pay it off and he said ok. I do not know why he posted here when we just worked it  about 4 hrs. ago I will say that if he would have taken a couple payments or told me not to order for this spring , he would have already been payed off.It's like telling someone to order you a snake and giving them the money to do (if you don't have it) so, so  that you are locked in on a set price when the snake arrives.Then after doing that , you told the person you wanted you money back after the order was made.

As far as the accounts(financial) being froze I CANNOT talk about it in this public forum , but I will answer questions now via phone or email.

So you (the jury) have read both sides of this deal and I am willing to go with what majority says on this matter, whether it's good or bad on my part.Thanks  Jerry Tubbs
 
OK, Jerry....I've got a couple of points to make...first...you never said if HE HAD ORDERED the balls and you KNEW the MO was on the way?
ASSUMING that's TRUE! You should have NEVER "sold out"! You should have given the MO time to get there!
ASSUMING it's NOT TRUE! You should have NEVER cashed his MO!!
Now...Once Winston said that he was WILLING to wait till the Spring to get THE SAME DEAL...THEN you had every right to cash his MO and order your balls so YOU could get them at a better price by buying them IN ADVANCE! SMART!
WINSTON decided to CHANGE THE DEAL....AFTER you already used his money! He AGREED TO WAIT!! Therefore, basically, making an "oral contract" (maybe not a LEGAL one, but, certainly an ETHICAL and MORAL one&#33<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>! I WILL NOT DEAL WITH PEOPLE THAT GO BACK ON THEIR WORD!! PERIOD! If you can't TRUST a person by their WORD of (so-called) HONOR??? You don't know half these people from a hole in the wall! Their WORD is the ONLY THING you have to go by!!
This might sound hard...but, I would make him live up to HIS WORD!! In the Spring....you OWE HIM 10 Baby Balls! PERIOD! If he can't wait that long....he'll live! We're ONLY talking about two months at the outset...that's NOT a long time!
I really think that you (Jerry) are doing the right thing in THIS instance....

Judging from what I have read so far.

It seems Jerry is doing the right thing.  Give him the chance to make things right.  

A deal is a deal.  Once a deal has been made.  Yes you might still be able to back out of things if nothing has been exchanged and you are having some kind of emergency..

But if things has been exchanged.  Stuff has been mailed then too bad to sad...a deal is a deal...

you gotta take all circumstances into consideration.  You can't just post bad guy post just because you don't get what you want.   Gotta take stuff into consideration.

Lets say you deal with a super honest person.  The person dies.  You can't get your money or your snakes...Does that make the person bad?  No.  So my point is you gotta take other things into consideration.  Don't be to quick to jump and post bad guy stuff.


I really hope parties work this out.  Sounds real simple to do

i got go with neal on this one. i often lock in a deal with 1 of my supplyers to get a set amount of snakes & and then have to prepay to get them in, i abuyer wants to prepay me on something i can give him a price break, i was just paid 1/2 on 5000 yellow belly breeders by a buyer in Fla and 1/2 on 2500 by afarmer in La
they saved .25 each on turtles, they know they are going to get them, 2 other big farmers want 1000 ea, but they have to wait until the prepay orders ar filled & pay full price

In any event a deal was made[verbal contracts are bond] and I think you are doing the right thing Jerry

Neil and everyone else , He never said the MO was coming on a certain date , he just said he would send it after hs next paycheck (and that was a maybe) .I gave him a set price for 20 of them for 225 shipped on his second order. I sold out in the time that it took to get his MO AND remember I was NEVER told the date (not even within a day or two) that he would sen or I would receive the mo. That's why he was told FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. I sold out before I got his MO and he was told and decided for me to try and find more and if not he wanted me to order for this year ,because he was locked in at great prices .HE DID KNOW I was out before cashing.

Thanx to all those whom have reply espically Jerry. I just want ya'll to know that I did not knew of his past untile a year a go. I send the money about 1 year and half ago. after I send the money. I was informed by certain herper of Jerry's past. I have done business with him before and the ball python he send me was great. But after hearding about Jerry's past and finding more stuff out (after I found the BOI on the internet)(also I just got reipped off by Fred Tribbet at this time) I decided to write to see if Jerry will send me the snakes as he promised Even though I might have been a little harsh in the letter, later which I wrote a letter of Apology for being harsh in the first letter,a dn ask him if  he could sned the money order back. he said he would, but he has already put it in the bank and he said he have to wiat to see if it goes through(it is a feaking money order Gurantee remember), and this was a year and half ago. I have written him several times after the promised time allowing the money order to go through and all he came up was excuses. I tried calling left several messages and he never call back. and by strok of luck last year I got him on the phone. and he said he would put money into my pay-pal that week which never happened and then he wrote em an e mail saying he will pay me by Feb. 14th. which never happened. I don't know if it is excuses or what even though he said he have finacial problems. so I was just curious about everybodys option that is all. and Jerry 215 dollars for over a year and half you could of pay me 10 dollars a month and you can have that almost paid off by now.215 dollars is over half of my living expense for a college studnet a month. The only reseaon I paid that amonut at the time because I had a client who asked me to look for a bunch of ball python and I told Jerry I can pay him back as soon as the client pay me. That never happened and I lost a client. Pay attention to the last sentence that I quoted.

What normal person in their right mind would BASICALLY say..... "This guy is going to jail...Let me buy from him anyway"

That is another thing I overnight the money oder to him(have the reciept from post office)  and he said he have the snakes. and if he was sold out wouldn't you think he would just sned the money order right back. and Jerry I know I over night the money order to you on thursday night you got it on friday. I e mailed you that night and on Weds. to confirm you had the snakes. I still have the e mails if anyone is interested. I saved them all into a nice file so I can give to my Attorney. Well I'll leave it at that. any question just e mail me oh Jerry I still have all the e mail you send me about getting the money to me on Feb. 14 and don't put that God stuff on the letter to make you look innocent, cause God ain't gonna do a thing for you.  Thanx

Winston,  You are a little off on time , maybe you meant a half of a year ago instead of a year and a half. The bank did not guarantee the MO. Only the USPS guaranteed it. You did say about waiting and getting the balls this year after I couldn't get anymore  last year . Then you wanted a refund and I did tell you it would take me sometime because of what I had going. That was also a few weeks after you wanted to wait after you told me to find some more and then said you just would wait til ths spring so you could get the balls at the same price.Then you wanted the money back after all , so I told you  would have it by Feb 15. I thought I would be out of what I'm going through right now but I'm not (it's a legal thing) I offered payments before and you wouldn't take them then ,or you are right you would have been paid off by now. But when you are handed a certain amount of money and that's what you have to live on , then you have to make do with that. If you accounts are froze ,then there is NOTHING  you can do about that.Now you tell me to go ahead and send payments ,so there once again it has changed . Oh as far as that GOD stuff  it's like a sig , I'm trying to change my life ,though it DOESN'T happen over night, GOD has been good to me , it's in all my emails now so there is no lie in it or it's not a copout for something and it's that simple... Now when you get back from Londin you email me and tell me excactly what you want me to do.

Ritchie, Yeah sometimes the truth hurts , but it ddn't offend me , because I am trying to change and that doesn't happen overnight.But to that thing about being a bad guy I have many many more good guys than bad . I know it only takes 1 bad to ruin a person, but I am trying to get things straight here in the herp community and with my life , but it don't happen overnight.Especially when  I can have alot of what is mine.
