    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

After reading this thread. I think it is spelled out very simple.  Jerry Tubbs took complete advantage of a situation. And is now trying to cover it up!!
Sound familiar??  This story should have been over when Jerry Tubbs recieved that M.O. overnight express!! Jerry Tubbs should have put the M.O. into an envelope and mailed it back on the spot!!!  But to Jerry Tubbs it was ANOTHER easy 100 bucks in his pocket!!! I have a very strong feeling that if Winston knew our language better, this story would be alot clearer. Thanks to sites like this, it does not matter how much time goes by. When you have screwed people over!! It's just a matter of time before they come back and bite you in the Butt!!!!!

But I didn't do that and we talked and this is when I was supposed to find more for him and I could not, then he said give him the same amount this spring and he would wait so I was going to ,then LATER he wanted the cash back again , told him ok but it would be awhile I had already preordered.

It was not however easy money in my pocket after he wanted the same deal for this year ,I prepaid for that order for this spring so I could and he could have the same amount of snakes at the same price. And as you know they won't be ready untill end March or in April.

Some of you people tend to look at the bad post of a person ,but don't look at the person who made t , then you make judgement on the supposedely bad person. Like once bad ALWAYS bad. But you don't look at WHO made the post . I am not saying Winston but others on the old BOI.

That was the point I  am trying to make as far as "bad" people. Now IF you have people that made a true post and used their true emails then I could say it's legit. I know just 1 bad is enough but you have to understand if a peron is TRYING to work things out ,then you deserve to get the chance to do that without people thinking your wrong.

Look everyone I got hit with a serious business problem. I didn't want to write in a public forum , but if this keeps up , I guess  I will have no choice.

Winston....I guess I owe you an apology! Had I known you were Asian, I would have given you a much bigger benefit of the doubt about your writing skills. English is the HARDEST language to learn...even 75% of the AMERICANS that post on THIS site, can't speak or spell worth a ####! Just look at some of the posts in THIS thread alone!! To ME...it's REALLY SICKENING!! You are, obviously, doing the best you can with what you've got! BUT....that doesn't excuse the fact that you kept changing your mind AFTER the initial deal was done!
Now...TOM...Give Jerry a break! Everyone KNOWS of his past, he's made some mistakes along the way, which he readily admits to! As I've said MANY TIMES BEFORE....everybody deserves a second chance to turn their lives around! Jerry's trying as hard as he can....give him a chance? Wouldn't YOU want a second chance if YOU screwed up?
I'm SURE it was because of the miscommunication between Winston and Jerry! Look how long it took US to figure out what Winston is saying?? IN THIS INSTANCE....(from what Jerry says), he didn't cash the MO until AFTER Winston said he would WAIT TILL THE SPRING!!
In my PERSONAL opinion....I'm going with Jerry on this one! I, probably, would have done the SAME THING!
Why don't we ALL just sit back for awhile and see how this turns out in the Spring? All I'm saying is....REMEMBER THE PAST...but, CONCENTRATE ON THE FUTURE! THAT'S how people GROW UP!....by LEARNING FROM THEIR **PAST** MISTAKES!

  Me? Screw up!! I promise you I do screw up almost every single day on one level or another. BUT it never involves taken peoples Cash over the Internet and not giving them anything in return!! We are not talking about last week or 6 months ago. Jerry has had Winstons Money for 1 and 1/2 yrs.  Unless Jerry is saying that Winston is out right lying??? Have Jerrys accounts been frozen for 18 months?? I doubt it. Jerry says he does not understand why Winston posted here?? Thats simple Jerry has had Winstons Cash for 18 months now, and the only thing that Winston has got in return??  "EXCUSES"   Jerry!  Fix this 18 month old problem and you will not have come on the BOI and try to defend your self!!!!

Actually Tom , It has NOT been 1 and a half years. More like 6 months or so , but in the time that it was going on the deal was changed , there was some time tryng to locatre some more snakes, there was a time they we were waiting til this spring, but now that he wanted the money back and not wait for the shipment this spring , well that's were it went downhill. IF he would have asked for the money back , instead of telling me see if I get more and then willing to wait because of the great prices til this spring and then it being changed again , we would have been settled . But I agreed to do those things and the money was prepaid and yes shortly after I have freezes placed on my financial accounts. Then he wanted money back and I told him it would be awhile and it should have been over , Feb 15th , BUT I cannot yet get my finances unfroze. Now that's it n a nutshell...Ican't say anymore and I don't know how to try and explain t better , but that's it .....

I'm going to have to go with Jerry on this one too.  It seems that Tom is a little confused with the timeline of what happened, combined with the broken english of Winston's.  no fault of his either, english would be VERY difficult to learn as a second language I'm sure.....now let me get this straight for anyone confused....

Winston purchases $100 of balls from Jerry

Winston decides to purchase MORE balls from Jerry approx 6 months ago.

Winston sends Jerry a MO for the balls

Jerry sells out before getting MO

Jerry offers Winston the money back, but also informs him of more balls he'll be getting shortly.

Winston accepts the new offer and decides to wait until the balls come in.

Balls haven't come yet, but Winston wants something after being informed of Jerry's past dealings and notoriety (sp) on the BOI.

Winston requests a refund

Jerry has since had his finances frozen for an undisclosed (understandable) reason and cannot give a full refund.

There are still balls coming in the spring that Jerry can send to Winston to close the deal (after all, that WAS the deal)

All we have to do now, is wait until the spring to see if Jerry sends the balls, if he does, case closed, if he doesn't, then maybe his finances will be open and Winston can get a refund.  

I personally think that Winston jumped the gun a little on the post, claiming that Jerry didn't do what he hasn't been able to do yet (send the balls basically)  Winston got scared when he discovered the BOI, and figured he'd join in on the lynching.  Nobody can say that Jerry is a bad guy based on this case alone, he hasn't had the resources to make this a good deal, and Winston knew this.  According to what both parties described, Jerry did everything right.  If winston couldn't handle the terms of the aggreement then he should've requested the MO be sent back to him..........

A bigger man?? Flame war??  I will admit that it makes more sense after Todd put it in order. I feel bigger already!!  There are two facts here:
 (1) What ever reputation that Jerry Tubbs has? He made for himself. Nobody gave it to him!
 (2) If it wasn't for Jerrys reputation, this thread would not have been started on this BOI in the first place!!!  RIGHT!!!

Winston said in one of his posts that Jerry has had his money for 1 and 1/2 yrs. If that is not what he meant to say? I can understand why it confused me.
 Jerry if the time comes that you get everything in order?  You smooth things out. And I hope this happens for you!!  I will be the first one to shake your hand and tell you job well done!!!!

Corey , I have NOT been making payments , because he didn't want payments at first .This deal has changed alot and now he wants payments . Instead of waiting til spring. So like I said before with listening to BOTH sides of this, tell me what would you do ? Refund payments or wait til spring and send his snakes or what ? He has been trying to repair his reputation and do the right thing
In this situation he is correct, and it would seem is more than willing to keep up his end of the deal

You are the one keeping this thread going.  What are you saying??  I don't have customers that I have done business with complaining about me on the BOI!  I have seen people complain because they don't like my opinion. And thats fine.  Now all of a sudden you are talking about me being a bad person?? HOW? WHAT? WHERE? and WHEN? can you turn this around and say that I am a bad person?

Man, this whole thread is not going to make much sense if I delete Winston's messages.  What's it going to take for me to convince people to use their real full names?  I'll give him a day or two to put that info in here in an addon message, otherwise his posts are gone.

Also to clear everythign up I was not slow on the payment cory I talked to him on Weds. via e mail and he said he has the animals and I told him I send the money  on thursday over night that way he can send the animals to me on monday. and once all the animals are bought by the client (that he as already agreed to) I would finish the payment. you know I was think if Jerry has a PC (which he as other wise how does he post on BOI) he could sell the PC and take some of that money and pay me back and just buy a crapier Pc to use. #### I admit that sometimes I owe people money, but I sacrifise what I can to pay them back as soon as possible.I do not like owing people money because I know it could get down right nasty. Before I got into snkaes and all I bred leopard geckos and I send this guy a snow for 200 dollars and the snow was DOA and I was prompt to send the guy his money order back because I do not cash in money order untile the animals have arrived safetly.( if he is reading this please put something in for me  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>  ) I think that is how business should run. Ya'll know how bad a person can look from not sending the agreed product or money. I'm pretty sure Jerry can Pawn something and send me a little money to show at least he is willing to pay me back. about 1 year and 7 month not a dime from him. and not even a returned phone call. Well I'll leave it at this for now.  for those of you whom have done business with me, just want to let you know I appreciated and for those whom I've done business with, I thank you for the animals. and for those whom have post on this BOI I thank you also.

Hey Guys Still want to know what would you do should I go through with the law-suit or give Jerry a chance to make it up or report him directly to mail fraud at the postal inspector agency in Paris KY. Pretty much I'm short on patients now because it have been over a year and 7 month now so...Give me some ideas (excepete you Jerry) your excluded from giving ideas.....

I won't give ya ANY ideas , but it seems you are "changing" your mind again. I mean you emailed  me and told me to send payments, before you posted on here. One thing though, get your TIME FRAME  straight. It has NOT  been a year and a half as you say . It's been more like 6 months or so. I understand that IS a long time , but the deal was also changed.Let's see the time you said it has been(1year 7 months) would be around July of 2000. Is this correct? With that being said , I need to know do you want me to send payments or not ?. Do you want to take me to court or not ?Do you want to wait until spring or not? Now I have a few points to make.
1.Your first purchase from me was back in May of 2001.
2.That is AFTER you say you made your SECOND order from me .
3. I have the letter you sent me that says"I had to get you another MO because my cat tore up the other one"

Now for my first and second points, they  prove your time frame  is wrong (you saying 1 year 7 months). I have the copy of the airbill right here in front of me .So let me ask you this , your saying you ordered balls from me around July of 2000 and then after not getting them , you ordered from me again in May of 2001<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>?<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>??
