    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Some person named Aaron on kingsnake.com stories forum is bashing Bob Clark of all people.I alerted Mr. Clark about this this morning.I have never had any dealings with Mr. Clark personally,but I have never heard anything but great things about him and his business practices.Could this Aaron be Jesse Underhill?

I may have jumped the gun on this one,but another poster stated that this guy was banned from Bob Clark's forums,I thought that Underhill was the only person banned from Bob Clark's forums.I could be wrong because I am sure not as up to speed on Underhill as Ritchie,no do I have the computer experience to track ISP's.I am new to the reptile trade and I know there are some crooks out there,as are some people who bad mouth others for no good reason.I am not in a position to sell any animals for a couple of years,but I am in the position to buy.I have found so much information on this board in the short time that I have been on it.I now can make some good judgement calls on who to deal with and who to avoid because folks like yourselves have the ability to inform others of shady characters.

I would just like to say to you all that I don't know who you are talking about or what they are talking about, but I strongly defend his right to say whatever he wants. The argument that you don't know and have not done business with Bob Clark and therefore you know him enough based on what you have read to say that this guy has no right to be critical of him is absurd! If you don't know Bob Clark then why would you even reply to defend him? Believe me he can take care of himself or count on people that do know him and do business with him to do so.

I have been in the reptile business for 15+ years now and can tell you that of all of the thousands of transactions I have had, some of the worst treatment and biggest screw jobs that I have ever recieved came from big name, reputable breeders. Just because they have the money to advertise and have good projects does not make them perfect. I have many friends that have been sold wild caught junk as captive bred by top name breeders. I know many people who bought het animals that turned out to be normals from top named breeders. I know of several big names who have screwed people out of very large sums of money, taking animals that they committed to paying for and years later not paying a dime!

In the past year, from some of the top breeders in the world, I was given mis-sexed animals, sick animals, animals that did
not eat, etc.

You need to get past the fact that because someone has what you think is a top name does not mean that they are honest, trustworthy or reliable all of the time. They are just like everybody else. They make mistakes and sometimes get greedy and do stupid, immoral things for money. Evan Stahl
 
Let me preface my reply by saying that I agree with Evan wholeheartedly.

That being said, Aaron's story does sound rather weak.His accusation is vague, and it seems more like he has an axe to grind due to being banned from the forums for trolling.

In Brian's or Amy's (I'm not sure which one posted this) defense, I think the point was not that Aaron "has no right to be critical of [Bob Clark]."  Instead, I think he/she was simply stating that given the weight of evidence (in his/her opinion), Bob Clark's reputation was good enough to withstand the vague attacks set forth by Aaron.  It's not a question of "rights" but of credibility, as I understood the post.

I totally agree with you, however, that sometimes the big names are so big that their smaller transactions get lost in the shuffle!  Fortunately, I have not had to suffer at the hands of someone taking my business for granted.  Rich Z. Don Soderberg, and Kathy Love and the three biggest breeders with whom I've dealt so far, and they've all been great to me!

I agree Evan, but the whole story has not been told.  Snowboa began posting on Bob's site and was interacting with other forum members.  After a short time he began to treat members disrespectfully.  He threatend to hurt people, questioned peopl'e sexual orientation (Yes, I stated it a little more carefully than he chose), made comments about some of our wives...  Then, he claimed Bob had ripped him off.  

True, if he does have a problem with Bob or anybody else, it is within his right to seek restitution.  However, he came to bobclark.com and chose to harass people who were not even involved with the transaction.  In his post on kingsnake he claimed "Bob" deleted his posts.  Not true.  His posts were deleted by the moderator who was contacted about abusive language.

No, it's not Jesse.  He does have a sidekick that goes by the name revoltingblob (seriously).  They are from Superior, WI.
 
Who has a sidekick in Superior?  I grew up there and my family's still there, so I wonder if I know who the person is.  If not, I can find out.  It's a small town...

Well, his userid on bobclark.com was snowboa and his buddy was revoltingblob.  He posted under a few different names, so I am not sure what the truth is.
 
I  was another witness to the snowboa episode on the BC forum.  With all of the lying that this guy did while degrading the forum and its members, not to mention all the stories and lies he told to try to get back on, he really doesn't have a leg to stand on.  His sales practices are in question as well as the content of his own collection.  He did not fabricate the "Bob Clark Ripped Me Off" story untill after he had been removed from the forum.  The only posts that were deleted were the ones that were threatening and/or abusive.  Bob Clark does not post on his own forum nor does he even monitor it.  The decision to remove Snowboa was made by the forum admin after the members were polled as to their views on the matter.

I was also a witness of "Snowboa" and "Revoltingblob" getting banned from Bob's site.  I don't remember, nor can I find a post that ever stated that "Snowboa" had purchased any animal from Bob Clark.  I do remember a post by the moderator that stated he spoke with Bob about this guy.  Bob aparently checked his records and found he had never done any business with "Snowboa".  Unfortunately I could not find the thread but I wil continue searching.  My opinion......."Snowboa" is inmature and flaming due to his obvious lack of morals and the fact that he is pissed about getting banned for trolling.

As a frequent poster on Bob’s forum, I can say that Aaron “snowboa” motives are to be suspect and his facts as presented are patently false.  

I agree Evan, you should be able to be critical of anyone you have had legitimate dealings with.  But what shouldn’t go unchecked is lying and attempting to deceive people for your own edification.   This guy went on and on threatening people on the forum and via their personal email accounts, until he was kicked and kicked and kicked.

Bob Clark has always been very responsive to any of my inquires and honest in all his dealings with me and I assume by the response from everyone on the BC forum, that he is that way with everyone without any exception known to me.

He just got defensive.
He says I am beaing reported for harrasment.
I told him a lot of people are hearing about him and it is NOT because of me.  he says kindly explain because it is being reported as a "threat".

So this guy thinks the world is out to get him or something.

Please don't let this scare you...with proper psychiatric care and good medications, you can still be a functioning (even productive) member of society. I apologize for airing my concerns in a public forum like this, but I'm concerned enough for you and your family, that I feel it is necessary to at least advise you to get the help that you need. Please...do it for those that still do care about you.

We are new to the reptile trade and think it is a shame that some people go to such extreme measures to give others the"Shaft".We are very thankful we found this board before making any other online purchases.
