My impression is that if the OP had agreed to the initial terms offerred of $100plus shipping the deal would have gone through fine. it was only upon receipt of the counteroffer that the deal was made conditional. no harm, no foul there. The interplay between the two after the condition was given was equally unnecessary and immature on both sides...again, a was.

That said, Jesse, you might want to dial the smart aleck comments back a bit. They don't usually tend to endear you to the residents of this site. You are well ahead of the game now...try and stay there.

I can't blame anyone for backing out of a deal with you. He got lucky and all read all the BOI threads about you before sending any money. That's called dodging a bullet.

There was no deal here. There were discussions but they never became a deal. There were no monies or goods exchanged.
IMO, if this were to be considered some sort of deal, the request to violate the law by labeling the product being sold as a gift to avoid paying the Customs Tax would have been the deal breaker.
You don't want to pay Customs then buy in your own country.
